Fairmount Park — Attraction in Lakewood

Hidden off main roads, great playground for kids and wonderful soccer fields that the Kickers Competitive Soccer League uses. My kids are now older so we mainly come here for soccer now, but I still enjoy walking the gravel loop with my dogs while my teenager practices soccer. In the spring the crab apple tree’s are flowering beautiful blooms and the beginning of August the tree’s are loaded with crab apples. Nextdoor to the park there is a hobby farm so sometimes when Im walking I see a horse, goats, cow, or chickens running around. All around it’s a wonderful hidden...

UPDATE: BE CAREFUL! There is a DEEP UNFILLED hole between the park fence and the road on the residential side of the park.. (across from the trashcan). My left leg fell in it and I rolled my ankle so hard I heard a "pop" noise. UPDATE: Broken foot. Bizarre it would be there. Had potting soil at the bottom of the hole. I like to find different trails and places to walk a mile. This place is perfect. It's approximately. 5 miles around the trail. The terrain is small gravel rocks but not hard to walk on.
