We love this dog park! It took us a minute to figure out how to get to the fenced in areas, as they're at the bottom of a long trail (or, alternatively, several sets of stairs). When you park, you can walk straight ahead through a big pavillion and down some stairs, or you can bear to the left and walk down a path that cuts around and leads to the entrance to the fenced in areas. There are two sides to the fenced in area, and although they're not marked for dog size, there is a sort of unspoken agreement among everyone that the right side is more chill while the left side is for more energetic dogs, so small dogs tend to fare more easily on the right side. The right side is more wide open for exploring and solitary exploration, while the left side has agility equipment and plenty of shrubs & trees that are good for keep-away and hiding. Keep in mind, the park itself is on a hillside. The entirety of the park is not ideal for anyone who has trouble taking stairs or navigating inclines - definitely check it out beforehand if you're concerned about accessibility. On the upside, there are some lovely benches and open area at the top right by the parking lot, so the park has something for everyone. The views are always beautiful and everyone we've met is super friendly. I do echo the advice of another google reviewer - bring water! The water isn't on year-round, and even when it is, the fountain is outside the fenced in area. We bring a gallon jug (filled when the water is off, empty when the fountain is on) and then fill the communal water bowls our get out our small portable one. Our girls love running up and down the hills so they get thirsty! You'll want to make sure that the humans in your group stay hydrated, too, so come prepared.

It’s a great park, walking one lap around the cement portions is about .6 miles give or take. The views are great and it’s connected to a nice neighborhood/other trails. There’s a dog park connected to it and the views, did I already mention that since they are awesome whether going in the morning, afternoon or evening. It even has a little section about native plants and a garden with info you can read. It feels safe, not too dirty at all and it has plenty of seating/picnic areas. They do have water fountains for humans and the pup (not sure if they work, haven’t tried them). There’s also bathrooms if you really have to go while out n about but try to keep them clean, they’re outhouses so no way to wash your hands Only possible cons are: that for long points around the trail it’s relatively unshaded but it’s not enough of a detriment to take a star away. And it’s at no fault of the park itself but sometimes humans make the bathroom disgusting. Overall it’s a great park to go for a stroll and get those steps in! Highly recommend stopping by and getting some physical activity in whether it’s walking, running or cycling

Used to be our go-to dog park. We had adopted an 8-yr-old Sheltie mix, and she loved coming here (we no longer have her). The number of dogs varies according to the time of day and the weather, but usually a decent amount for her -- not too many, which would overwhelm her, and not too few (unless it's raining).

The scenery is GORGEOUS and generally the dog owners are nice and respectful. Only once or twice has there been an owner (two different ones) who didn't seem to recognize his dog was being overly aggressive with the other dogs and didn't have the sense to take his dog elsewhere.

Drawbacks: It's very rocky, so you have to watch where you step not to turn an ankle. It's also a steep incline/decline, which is great if you're in shape and a real haul if you're not. Even the sidewalk leading down to the dog park is quite a climb back up to the parking lot, so be prepared.

Water fountains are right outside the dog park entrance, and there are stainless steel water bowls of various sizes you can fill up for the dogs (which often get knocked over). There's also a shelter right outside the gate to the dog park, if you really need some shade; also a small stand of trees at the very bottom of the hill ... with the necessary climb back up, of course.

Oh, and a small agility course for those interested.

Overall a really nice dog park, though if they could clear all the rocks it would be great. All those rocks on the dogs' feet can't feel too good, especially the active dogs chasing balls...
