Season Three Vineyard — Attraction in Lampasas

Proprietors John and Marion continue to produce top notch wines. A Cab and Tempranillo recently debuted there, both are excellent! The decor is very cute, many artistic and crafty touches, including Marion’s ever-growing collection of ice buckets on the shelves behind the bar! Even the food is creative and crafty, a delicicheese plate and bratwurst presentation fit the bill this visit.

Great ambiance as well, a jazz sax playing on a Saturday afternoon during our last visit. Big screen on outdoor patio provides plenty of Fall football. Just a down-to-earth, cozy place to spend an afternoon. Continue to highly recommend Season Three!

Season Three is a relative newcomer in the Central Texas winery scene. Located in scenic Briggs, TX, the vineyard/winery is a short drive northwest on Highway 183 from Austin, TX. The proprietors, John and Marion, are a wonderful couple working hard to push the winery to "best in class." The wines are terrific. We tend to prefer the whites and blushes, but that's a phase we're in now, not a reflection of the wines at Season Three. The wine club, The Society of Seasoned Drinkers, includes nice discounts on the wines, as well as frequent events that are really fun. The winery is growing fast, you should stop by soon! Highly recommend...

Hands down one of the best experiences, vibes, food, and wine we have stumbled upon in the area. We sat in the corner and watched the owners and staff greet every person walking in as if they were already a member of the family. We ordered the baguette with oil as well as the raspberry chipotle cream cheese plate and both paired perfectly with our tasting and wine selections. Had the chance to meet the owners and they're smart, thoughtful and funny people! We've been to a lot of 'newer' vineyards that have wines that don't quite taste mature but this isn't that.

We sampled the six present on the tasting menu and every wine was spot-on with regards to the standard expected flavor profile. Not one of the wines were disagreeable!

We also tried the cheese board and it's perfect for two people to enjoy.
