Michigan Princess Riverboat — Attraction in Lansing

Maria, Justice and Allie’s along with the crew took great care of the guests. Our tour group on the second floor were greeted table by table by the Jazz Quartet that provided us with musical entertainment during the entire trip.each table got to make a musical request and most of the songs are pleasant fun and enjoy but then I open my big mouth and said beer barrel polka. Suddenly the poker started coming out of this group and it was lively and everybody’s clapping then all of a sudden the lead musician winks at the guy next to him and then they start making us sing the entire song and we’re singing every verse of this song and then it ended up with them finishing with some music and it was the most fun. I have been on the Michigan Princess as a guest and a performer and our friends and fans love this place. There is nothing like it in mid Michigan. The food is great, beer is cold and drinks are just right. I have found the staff to be friendly, outgoing and courteous and the captain has always been around to answer questions about the history of the boat and gone out of his way to make sure we were accommodated in every way. The boat has three decks, a cash bar (there was an ATM available on site), and I have been there when they have run a normal menu and a buffet menu. Both were great. It's a cool thing to experience. The band was phenomenal and knew every song requested, from the Star Wars theme to big band faves. The food was delivered via buffet line, where tables were released one at a time. The potatoes were phenomenal, but the rest of the food did not live up to $60+ per ticket. The chicken was very overcooked, greasy/slimy, the pasta salad was similar to GFS. and cake was sliced so thin it had to have been frozen before. They packed in too many people, making it extremely difficult for attendees to maneuver their walkers/etc. Several people had to go through the line for their loved one because it was impossible for them to leave their seat.
