I really enjoyed stopping to see this attraction. I love the fact that it is made of recycled parts that would normally be just trash!! I met several people while here, and we took turns identifying parts, and pointing them out to each other. (I also took several dozen photos for people who wanted to be in the picture taken by their own camera!) The rest area itself is nicely kept. There are covered picnic table alcoves, each with a gorgeous view of the city below. I tell anyone I know that when they stop here, plan on spending an hour or 3-- or better yet, stay overnight at the rest area. As a homeschooling Mom, I can tell you that the kids can be occupied for a really long time identifying objects found on the sculpture... š If quirky roadside sites are your cup of tea-- this one won't disappoint you!! š My fiance is a big truck driver. He has found this to be a good spot to spend the night-- especially when nearby truck stops are full. He loves the sunrise. He also appreciates that a big truck has parking space-- and that there is security posted on...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWonderful rest area! The picnic shelters are nice on hot days for shade and keeping cooler breezes flowing through, concrete/rock open air box basically. The views from the shelters are amazing, especially at sunset. Last night was my second visit, the first time was in March during the day. Unfortunately, my phone crashed and I lost those from the March trip. Thereās no light on the roadrunner at night, but you can still get some photos if you use headlights and low light camera settings. Itās so cool how the recycled roadrunner is put together, I love crafty things and someone was really creative with ideas to use all sorts of old/used things to make it! Definitely stop if youāre close enough! Plenty of cactus types and Yucca to see up close. Iām sure OTR trucking will lead me back out West to see it again! The Rio Grande is right there as you get back on the highway to leave,...
