Rotary Park — Attraction in LaSalle

Decent sized park that is still being worked on. It's still a bit baffling as to why they decided to make it so far from the town. This makes it inaccessible to anyone with out a car. They have a nice playground, dog park, and sports complex. I think they really need to have more events there or an easier way to access the park. When they had a farmers market last year, there were very few vendors or people.

Nicely done! On our way from Rockford to Springfield, the many many many colorful lights caught our attention from I-39, so we made a point of checking out the "Celebration of Lights" on our return trip.

Right off exit 57, it's a huge collection of individual displays sponsored by area organizations and businesses. There are uniquely themed light displays as well as many traditional Christmas characters.

A dog park, several paths for walking, biking, or jogging; and the most accessible playground I have ever seen--this park is great and I am excited to see it grow into what the city has planned for it.
