D&S Produce — Attraction in Latimore Township

Really nice little farm food store. I popped in one morning after biking from my campsite at Walmar Manor. It's about 3 miles away, but not as easy of bike ride as I expected due to the hilly landscape. Anyways, I got a lot of good stuff here: brussel sprouts, tomatoes, spring mix, honey, milk, eggs, and a whoopie pie. Everything was good quality. Not everything appeared to be grown right there which makes sense because I went in April. I think from what I got, just the tomatoes were not from the area though they could have been, not really sure. Neither here nor there it's nice to go to a place that's well stocked and has a good amount of local produce and all quality stuff. Great prices too, 3$ for a dozen huge and delicious eggs! Actually called 'The Farm' looking at the signage. It has local produce in the shop, but the best part was the ice cream shop behind it. We did a U-Turn as we just caught the sign about ice cream last moment. We are glad we did as they had a HUGE selection of flavors. We got sundaes as you can see; mine was S'Mores and hers was Strawberry. I get Black Cherrt ice cream, but she stayed traditional with vanilla. Very fresh ingredients and hand made through and through. The layout was great as it is very family friendly with a farm theme layout. We watched some kids enjoy the truck slide which I thought was an imaginative twist. Plenty of seating for everyone and highly recommend the stop for young and old. We stayed here as a Harvest Host guest and we loved it! Unfortunate for us that we arrived late on a Saturday after the produce store was closed. But fortunately the ice cream shop was still opened. My husband and I both tried the sample pack and were blown away by the taste of every one we tried. We only had room in our RV for three pints.
