This was my fourth time rafting with whitewater challengers and it will definitively be my last. This was our annual family guys day out with us 5 cousins. We arrived at 9 am with a 9:20 start, went to the store as I always and bout some glasses straps and bug spray checked in and we were ready to go. We gathered our belongings and went to get fitted for our life vests. Right after the life vest fitting our first interaction with Jen began. She asks us if we are the group of 5, we reply yes and she then says just so you know we have two more and we may have to place them with you. My older cousin tells her he called ahead while booking to ensure it would be just us. Since we had been here before we are well aware that the policy is usually 5+ and you have your own raft. She continues to tells us that they may have to place the two with us nonetheless. We start a little annoyed but are to excited to let it ruin our trip. Then we board the bus and things get better, wheezy is the guide on our bus and she is an absolute delight. Not only is she professional, informative and genuine but her personality is endearing and shes hilarious. Our bus driver was also a very sweet woman. After the bus ride we are pumped. We arrive at the destination and get a short but informative introduction and were on our way. We asked how long the trip usually is and were told 3-4 hours which is perfect since 4 of us wanted to squeeze in dinner plans before we each broke off and one of us had to drive to queens to meet his fiance(more on that later). The journey down river was fun and enjoyable and Jen was actually being friendly so we were happy. Things took a dramatic turn from a great day to absolutely horrible when the trip was over and we were waiting to paddle to the landing for disembarking. We had knowingly pushed up to be the third raft to arrive in the waiting area for disembarkation since we were on a time crunch. We were holding on to shore when they asked if anyone had other time commitments and needed to leave first we each raise our hands and attract the attention of Jen. Seeing that she didn't notice us, we begin to paddle over to her and we say to her we are on a time crunch and my one cousin needs to drive to queens to meet his fiance. She rudely and aggressively commands us to get back to shore and wait our turn even though they just asked who needed to leave early. I continued to plead my case with her again stating that my cousin needed to leave which for some reason infuriated her further. She condescendingly replies to me with what difference does it make all the buses leave together. We knew this wasn't true but decide that we are at her mercy and go back to holding on to the shore line. We watch with frustration as she proceeds to send most everyone else before us and we end up being in the final 6 boat grouping to be sent. She then trys to apologize in the most insincere way for her power trip by saying im sorry I didn't understand what you meant even though we clearly stated twice that we needed to leave and your earlier response of "what difference does it make". We wxplain to her how we felt disrespected and how she was rude and asked for her name she told us her name and says you can talk to tom the troop leader. When we arrived to Tom we begin to explain our issue and he is both uninterested and dismissive. Which is the motivation behind this review. The aftermath was this we got on the bus to return to camp and as we arrive we see those who were on the first bus already showered changed and ready to leave. In essence we lost 45 mins to an hour due to the incompetence and ego of one employee. Ultimately my cousin had to abandon certain plans with his fiance even though he drove down to queens anyway, we missed dinner completely as we ran out of time due to other responsibilities. The frustrating thing is this, this is a service industry, we are paying patreons never should a service industry punish a patreon for voicing their needs or concerns so I implore you...

I came here on June 21, 2025 with my Son's boyscout troop and had a great time until I had a run in with one of the employees while traversing the rapids. My boat had got stuck on some rocks that were just below the surface. There were three adults and two children in the boat, and one of the children was my eleven year old Son. We were trying to get the boat off the rocks for a while without success. We were getting verbal instructions from an employee who was helping another boat about a hundred feet away from us that was also stuck on some rocks. One of the adults on my boat was an elderly man who was showing signs of stress and physical pain from the water and other boats crashing into us. My son was also getting visably shaken, which was more that I could take. I probably shouldn't have, but I got into the water while holding on to the boat, all the while I could feel the strong current trying to take me away. When I pulled myself in front of the boat, it shielded me from the current and allowed me to get my footing on rocks about 4 feet below the surface. From there I was able to pull the boat off the rocks, and I pulled myself back into the boat. We got more instructions from the employee who was helping the other boat on how to get back to the main group, which was now ahead. I was sitting in the rear of the boat and was trying to steer the boat from the back. When we caught up to the main group, some creepy guy in a small kayak started screaming "CAPTAIN" multiple times like a lunatic. He had long, scraggly hair that looked like it hadn't seen shampoo in a while. He was excessively tattooed and kind of reminded me of Bart Simpson's bus driver. He started screaming at me that I was not steering the boat correctly and that I was the reason we had crashed into the rocks even though they were below the surface and could not be seen. Apparently, the person who sits in the back is the "Captain" and must steer the boat in the correct manner, which I was apparently supposed to know how to do. I told him that what he was describing was never shown during any of the introduction briefings we had prior to hitting the water, but of course, he insisted it had been covered even though nobody else was doing what he claimed was taught prior to getting in the boats. When I later asked other members of my group, they also did not remember being taught anything like what this employee was carrying on about. I told him he was being very biligerent, but that seemed to roll off him like a whiskey hangover. I was absolutely livid at being berrated in front of my son by such an individual for such a stupid reason. I asked another employee to speak to someone in charge, and when we reached the prescribed end, I was approached by a young woman who asked me what had happened. As I was speaking to her, another young male individual who saw that I was visably upset while speaking to this woman jumped into the conversation head first without understanding why I was upset and proceeded to tell me to calm down. I told this young man who greatly resembled Shaggy from Scooby Doo that nobody in the history of the world has ever calmed down after being told to calm down? His gem of a response was that "You better just git on the bus then." The young lady and I just kind of ignored the young man, and I explained what had happened, and she seemed to listen. However, I suspect she was not altogether high on the totem poll, so I am writing this review to you, Mr. Owner, so you know what went on out on the water today, and you hopefully address what I have conveyed accordingly. In short, I will never be coming back to this place. I would never want to expose my son to these unsavory people again. I'm sure many people have have had a great time over the years based on the many positive reviews, but when a business starts hiring people who have serious people skill deficits, and who likely have other personal problems going on outside of work, then those reviews will very likely go down in...

Me and my friends went to rafting here at Whitewater challengers. The experience was the worse one we ever had.We were normally rafting and a guy named ”zombie”(tall man, long curly hair and a lot of tattoos) approached our boat and started to say:”Give me the booze you have!”We told him several times that we didn’t have anything, but even wanted to check inside our cups!.Everybody was throwing buckets at water at each other, and splashing with paddles, but Zombie, again, approached me and my friends(we were in different boats,4 in one and other 4 in another.8 total)and grabbed the paddles of one of my friend and started saying:”You can’t do it,did you hear me?!”and he wouldn’t stop grabbing the paddle. As we were in two different boats, our group of wanted to be together and as we tried to be near our friends group,Zombie would come in the middle and separate us.During all rafting the guides were looking at us and it was very uncomfortable. And they were not looking at us for our safety , but they thought that we had alcohol we we even tried to take a sip of water! They asked like 50 times if we had alcohol even if they checked our bags before departure. After the rafting we were unloading the boats,we had a lot of stuff and the boats were full of water,we wanted to help the people that works there buy taking off all the water inside the boat, and plus one of the group hurt her leg when she was going off of the boat.So after all of this we were starting to go on the bus when zombie approach us saying:”Everyone is waiting you!”.And again I understand if you said it in a normal way with respect but no always talking with us in a rude way.Always!!Came back to the camp and we were unloading our buckets,Zombie and other 3/4 people was standing with him, started to say that we had alchool, again. And he was still saying the same thing everytime.Overall the worst experience ever had.

CAMPING- The camping overall is not bad,the area is very quiet ,nice nature. The showers are dirty full of insects, spiders as the sinks.Should be a paintball and game room thing.Paintball not working and the game room has 2 things to play with. The always checked us at night asked to lower music when it wasn’t even loud, and other were screaming and exploded fireworks.Yeaterday someone was at our tent when everybody was sleeping. He pointed light at our tent and looked at our food

Hi Bob , hope your day is going well. 1)After the check-in we were sited to do orientation and some people of our group were drinking, but a guide approached us and told us we can't drink before the rafting ,so we took everything and throw it away. The lady told us other rules and then she went to explain the orientation. After we throw everything and the orientation was done, the manager approached us.He kindly ask to check what we had inside the buckets and we took out everything and he said that we were all good.Nobody told us that we couldn't have more than one bucket ,they even give us 4 at the start and we were going inside the bus when the manager told us we can't carry bags only buckets and we grabbed another one.Yess,is the guides job to check on everyone but it doesn't mean that they need to be consistently around us .Yes,my friend splashed with the paddle as the other 20 people that were they, but nobody except us received this treatment. It is completely untrue that during the rafting we were unbuckling our life jackets, never did.The only time that we did it, it was when there was the lunch brake and we were not in the water.

I took off my boot once and the guide kindly told me that it is better to have them on,so i told her that the only reason that i took it off it was that my feet were full of water and after that i put it on immediately. After we arrived for lunch break we took it off again, only because our feet were full of water. And about the boots ,you should wash them better ,because they smelled bad and all wet.

Nobody again told us that we can't bring more buckets! People if you want a good vacation...
