Harbor Light Marina — Attraction in Lavonia

First let me start by saying I reached out to this boat rental company a few months ago to make my arrangements, and I apparently am a hot mess because I was all over the place with these reservations. I called back several times to change them, the dates of arrival, departure, rent more, cancel a jet ski, etc, and EVERYTIME I reached out, they were the most accommodating, polite, informative, and helpful folks I've dealt with in a long time. Not only did they bend over backwards to accommodate me and my family, they did it with a smile and winning attitude. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. If you are trying to plan a trip to the area and are considering renting a watercraft of some sort to really make your holiday, reach out to them and rent something. This husband and wife duo is where it's at. Not only did they have multiple boats to choose from, they also rent jet skis and the accompanying floating apparatuses to drag behind the boat. What would you do if you reserved a pontoon boat to go on Lake for Solar Eclipse Business Party.......booked in June - paid in June and find out that they lost your reservation and now have no boat for you? I closed my business for the day, turned away orders for that day....and had 6 others going out...purchased t-shirts, binoculars, glasses to celebrate and Harbor Light Marina just says sorry!!!!! Reservations at dog kennel for dogs!!!! Michael at Harbor Light Marina says if you had checked yesterday, he could have fixed their problem because they had a cancellation......and he gave it to someone on the waiting list.............I suggested he phone them and say "Sorry" because they only planned for 24 hrs.....with a boat. But Michael said he couldn't do that because she was on waiting list for a month.......... WOW!! They had my money and reservation for over 2 months!! I am so pissed off and sad that we don't have a boat now....... What would you do?? Ruined my 2 months of planning and preparing for a day on the Lake. Not to mention the cost to...

This was our first time at a marina on Hartwell. We keep our boat on Lanier. The fuel dock is right in the open water. No wake breaks. Tons of wakes while trying to pump gas. The fuel dock itself is decent. Well maintained. The staff helped pull us in, which is nice.

The courtesy dock is very small and was full. It wasn’t in very good condition either.

The restaurant is beer and wine only. Big con. The walk from the fuel dock to the restaurant is a bit far only to find out that there’s no mixed drinks lol. Not sure if that’s a county thing or just their choice, but we pay $10+/each for decent to-go drinks on Lanier, so this place is missing out on $$ by not...
