Wow, just when you thought farms were all about quiet mornings and some peaceful animal watching, Nickajack Farms turns the dial up on fun and education! Stepping onto this farm is like diving into a festival of colors and activities. From the thrilling corn maze adventures during their Pumpkin Days to the joyous Christmas lights and Santa’s Toy Barn, this place never skips a beat. I took my family there last fall, and it was a hit with both the kids and adults. The wagon rides had us rolling through scenic views, and let's not even get started on the delight of picking our own pumpkins from their vast patch. It's not just about fun, though; it's also an educational journey where you learn about farming and the importance of agriculture. If you’re planning a visit, my tip is to check out their seasonal festivals and definitely book ahead for any group events. Nickajack Farms is not just a farm; it’s a day-long escape into the heart of nature and celebration! So, pack a picnic, bring your walking shoes, and prepare for a day that promises more than just a walk down the farm lanes.

Went for the corn maze and was disappointed. It was a tiny maze with no map to direct you. You're kind of in there blindly. It went fast though and were able to get out but it kind of took away the excitement. The exit had no signage that it was indeed the exit so we're confused that it actually was an exit or just a section where you can leave early. I just couldn't believe it could be over in less than 15 minutes. This place is definitely great if you have little kids 3-10 year olds but teens and adults it's just boring. $14 to get in to do a corn maze in 15 minutes and then a ride on a tractor that takes you around the farm so you can see trash is not a fun time. They have extra stuff to do but you had to pay more to do them. Food on site was also expensive. $10 for a cheeseburger is insane. The store had a lot of gifts and Fall/Halloween/Christmas stuff. There were also cider and cookies from Kaufman bakery (yum). The customer service was great and everyone was super nice.

My two year old had a blast here. We didn’t realize how many different activities there would be that he could actively participate in. A couple of the obstacles had seen better days and seemed a little run down, but, there was still plenty to do. Interestingly enough, you can play putt putt with gourds instead of golf balls. I had to cut it short and leave for work, however, my son stayed behind with his grandma to finish playing. On the way out, I asked an employee in the gift shop if I could purchase a toy riding horse on a stick for my son, so that he could pick out his own when he was leaving. She granted my request and confirmed that she remembered who I came in with. So, I paid and left. When I got home later that night, I find out that he never got his horse. I have attempted calling. I never seem to reach anyone. At this point, I would just like my card refunded.

Do not recommend for parties, I had made a reservation online to have my sons birthday party held there and due to the expense of the party assumed I would have a nice party area with tables, ext..

When I went to check out the location the day before the party the manager there told me that my party was going to be in the clear back of the farm by this little fire pit with benches, under a tent with 2 small tables and nothing else was available.

We were going to have to lug all of our party items clear across the farm through the grass and dirt to an area of a little fire pit??

I accepted our fate as the party was the very next day and all rsvp’s were already in...I did not bring a lot of the decorations and other items/ games that that I had planned.

The day of the party we arrive and I’m prepared that I am going to be hauling all of the party stuff to the clear back of the farm....then the manager tells me that the party room is now available, and is really close to where the entrance is, and it’s a nice area with tables and is In the barn.

I had left a lot of the items that I would’ve brought behind, and I know that the only reason they would not guarantee me the party room is because they wanted extra 50 bucks for guaranteed space.

Initially I did not want to pay this, But then agreed to after seeing the accommodations they were going to provide....and at this point they refused the $50 saying it doesn’t matter they had nothing additional available.

I ended up spending about $400 on the party and it did turn out OK, but I will never forget the stress I had to go through worried that all of the guests were all going to be stuck in the dirt area around a fire pit for the party.

For the kind of money that it cost to have a party there we should be guaranteed a nice area, and not be forced to pay an extra $50 for a decent party location.

I will not ever have another event at Nick a Jack farms, not for my company, other children or Girl...

I took my son and his 2 cousins to enjoy some outdoor fun. They each picked out their own pumpkin to carve and it really ended up being an enjoyable day for all of us. The icing on the cake was that it wasn't overly crowded and I didn't feel like I had to worry about letting them explore. The visitors seemed to be made up of families rather than adults without children or rowdy teens ready to fight or brandish weapons like there have been at other events in our area. The entire time we were there I didn't hear anyone using inappropriate language or witness any harassment or bullying. It truly was good clean family fun. There was a variety of things to do so no one area was ever overly crowded. I didn't give 5 stars because there were several activities that could have been more interesting with minimal improvements. The hay ride got a little boring and redundant because there wasn't really anything to look at besides cornstalks. Adding some interesting scenes throughout the ride would have went a long way towards making it more fun and interesting. The ride was lengthy and the kids got a little bored and antsy because there was nothing to look at other than cornstalks, which quickly lost their attention. I was also a little disappointed with the corn maze, which again, could have been greatly improved with the use of props and/or making it interactive. I feel like they dropped the ball because it could have been loads of fun. Overall we had a really enjoyable day made more so by being around other families who conducted themselves in a respectable manner. The number of public events or activities that you can feel safe bringing your children to are dwindling, so I was pleased to discover this off the beaten path family friendly day of fun. I would recommend this activity for younger children rather than teens who may not find it...

First off I'm only giving one star because the staff was friendly. We drove over 45 minutes to get there because of wonderful reviews. Did we miss something ?? There are cute decorations throughout the property upon entering and walking through the activity areas. The main barn that you enter through is a shop with things you can purchase. The cost is $10 a person to enter the activity area. For this price I thought we would have a great time. We visited them on a Sunday and the place was a dead zone. Absolutely nothing going on, and a handful of people coming and going. No demonstrations in the activity barns, spider webs in the corn hull area for small children. To be honest with you, it really felt like we had arrived after hours. There was no interaction with anyone. No train to the pumpkin patch, no face painting, but there was a wagon ride that picked you up every hour on the hour for a 30 minute ride around the property. The best way I can describe it would be like a City park playground where you just do your thing (alone). There was absolutely no activities going on at all. The so called petting animal area consisted of walking in between fences in the field. Several horses that were out grazing and never came to the fence, one pig, couple of sheep that ignored us, and several llamas that ignored us also. The Cafe area is nice, they have a vendor wagon and picnic tables in an area all cemented, however it is in full sun. No canopy or anything. I am still trying to understand what we missed here. We were really disappointed. Maybe the activities don't apply to Sunday's ? Will we be back ?...
