I understand this is a small local business and I do appreciate that. However, I was somewhat disappointed in my experience and the price that I paid for everything. Because of this, I want to write a review that informs others.
I'll start with the positive aspects. We did enjoy seeing the baby zebra, mini cow and the armadillos. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and it was a bonus that the feed was included at no additional cost.
The advertised admission is $100 for 3-4 people which I thought included all of the encounters. However, the price is only for the petting zoo and sloth encounter. I did end up paying for the 2 additional encounters for 3 people making my total $225 and the experience was not worth the money in my opinion.
I was not expecting the petting zoo area to be in one area. There was limited space, extremely warm and it was very unclear who was in line for which encounter. The encounters themselves were not located in a separate area other than the sloth which was in an enclosed space. The sloth was easily the best encounter because of this. The encounters felt rushed and would have been more enjoyable if the kangaroo and capybaras were placed in separate...
Read moreWe had the BEST time at Little Crooked Creek Safari! Took our 6 & 7 year olds and it was pure magic—feeding and petting camels, Highland cows, goats, bunnies, antelope, capybaras, kangaroos and so much more! The staff and owner were wonderful, they even brought out frozen otter pops to everyone which I felt was super thoughtful, and I love that the animals get fresh veggies instead of pellets.
We anticipated only being there for an hour and ended up being there for two hours because we were having so much fun!
Recommendations: I wish there was more shade on the walking path (but its not a super far walk so really wasnt that bad) as far as I could tell, they dont sell water, so recommend bringing your own, but I really loved the fly control in the encounter barn (i dont think i ever had a fly touch me and thats impressive), I think we all took that for granted!!! 😂
You can tell the animals are well cared for and they were in the process of adding another barn so it looks like they're always improving their operations!
Overall, the $100 for 4 adults was well worth it! Everyhting was clean, fun, and unforgettable-I'll be bringing anyone here who...
Read moreThis was the best experience I have ever had in this area. It’s clearly not a commercial zoo this is their home but the animals are unique they are friendly and you can feel the passion. You get a cup of food to feed the animals and of course they are used to it so you really get enthusiastic experiences with the animals. They are a small operation so don’t expect a lot of staff and you won’t get a guided tour as I believe they are currently flooded with visitors.
They have baby capybaras that you can sit with (for additional fee) but you can tell they are not shoveling these animals out for your enjoyment the priority is the happiness and safety of the animals. There was not a single vibe of animals being exploited which is a big fear now a days with places like this.
Be careful on the road out to this place it is terribly small and feels like you are going out to the boonies but it’s...
