I’m not really sure why this has 4.9 stars. It was very underwhelming to say the least. If you’re in the area, I would skip this and knock something else off your list. If you have an extra ten minutes to spare, than sure, stop by. It won’t take you more than a few minutes to see the underwhelming dam and move on with your day. 10/10 would not go again.

I really like the architecture and easy hiking around the lake and dam. It is a beautiful place. The fishing is good according to two locals. Stop by and see for your self. Absolutely gorgeous place to visit! The views downstream of the dam are beautiful, and the dam itself is really spectacular! We did not walk across the dam but there is a walking area to cross it - next time we will check that out! The whole area is worth a visit!

We went near the end of April and the wildlife was very diverse! We saw plenty of wildflowers right next to the parking area - the area is a great spot for photographers!
