My husband and I got married in the chapel on November 11th 2023. It was a beautiful location and we booked it for the day at a very affordable price. Our only complaint is when we arrived at the chapel 2 hours before the ceremony so I would have enough time to get ready in the dressing room, I had a heck of a time trying to find the dressing room and the person in charge whom I was supposed to meet with upon arrival. I guess she lives in a house on the property and when I saw her peeking out the window I waved at her to get her attention, she saw me but still didn’t come out. I knocked on their front door after waiting some time to see if she was coming out and she didn’t answer for quite a few minutes. When she did come out she stood in her door way and didn’t give very good directions to where the dressing room was (which was at the back of the chapel) and my MOH and I still had to try several doors before finding the right one! Definitely would have been a way better experience if she would have taken me directly to the room rather than me having to go hunt for a door with a padlock...

I had a wedding there last month and I it is by far the best venue in the lower half of the state, without question. I could go on and on about how accommodating and pleasant the staff were and how beautiful the venue was but I'll summarize my experience with bullet points:

Affordable price Accommodating and friendly staff Optional indoor reception area Absolutely stunning chapel and view from the outside. I had my reception under the trees to the right of the chapel under tents that I supplied myself. The mountains created a gorgeous backdrop. Fully functional kitchen provided under rental

In conclusion, if you're coming to visit the area, it's a must see. If you plan on getting married in southern Oklahoma or north Texas, I can't think of a better venue especially at it's price point. Plus you know that your money is going to a local, historical location that is a landmark of the wildlife refuge and Oklahoma in general. If any of the staff are reading this, thank you for your hard work in making the day a beautiful and memorable one for me, my wife, and all...

Went in September 2024, with wife, mom, and friend.. Loved the layout and pretty amazed. My mom went to Isreal with my dad. So I thought it would be amazing to see this.. my dad passed away in 2020.. we went to gift shop and come.to find out they have memory bricks or tablet.. they told us it would be 8 months to complete.. I called last part of May, they stated that they didn't have brick Layer for two years and they said sand blaster went down. I was upset because nobody didn't say anything upfront about this.. if they would have said something I probably wouldn't have bought it.. we did donate money in the donation boxes that they have all over the place.. I was hoping to have this done this year so my mom could see and my other family.. but the woman at the gift shop said someone been waiting four years.. so in other words it might get done in my lifetime.. we give a date or months, just tell people it will get done when...

We absolutely love it! *Family-friendly*: Holy City is an excellent place for a family visit, especially after a visit to the Wichita Mountains and Wildlife Refuge. *Unique architecture*: The city has numerous full-sized buildings and structures, including the temple court, the Lord's Supper building, Herod's Court and Pilate's judgment hall, all built with locally-quarried granite in the 1930s. *Natural amphitheater*: The natural amphitheater is the setting for the nation's longest running Easter passion play in America. *Memorials*: The site is also home to a memorial for the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing and a Veterans Walkway. *Popular wedding venue*: The World Chapel has become a popular wedding locale. *Free admission*: The 150-acre site is leased from the federal government by the Wichita Mountains Easter Pageant Association, a private organization, and does not charge admission.
