Olathea Creek Vineyard and Winery — Attraction in Le Claire Township

Julia and her team were absolutely phenomenal. My wife and I recently had our 30th wedding anniversary, but we both had to work that day and we have opposite schedules, so we couldn't even spend any time together. At the last minute I contacted Julia to see if there was something small they could throw together (literally two days notice) on a Saturday. It was going to be a surprise for my wife. She knew we were going there, but had no idea they were putting something together for us or that I had hired a photographer. Julia mentioned a small package they have and it was perfect. We recently discovered this place and fell in love with it from our first visit. They were even kind enough to let us in shortly before opening so we could have a professional photographer take pictures of our special moment before anyone arrived. Did I mention their wine??????? We have already been to this BEAUTIFUL winery in LeClaire, Iowa twice. The entire property is a treat from the minute you get out of your vehicle. This is a local, FAMILY-run establishment, and that is very evident. Their hearts and souls have been poured into this business and they will make your experience at the vineyard one to remember. It was extremely hot the two days we were there. The shaded patio with ceiling fans kept us so comfortable while we enjoyed the flavors of our tasty glasses of wine. Julia, Bryce, Mike & Ashley were all very knowledgeable about the wine and the wine-making process and answered all of the questions we had (and then some). I can’t wait to taste the next batch once it’s bottled. It will be so much fun to watch this vineyard grow (literally 🌱) over the next decade. This winery is amazing! The tasting room and grounds are stunning, and there’s plenty of seating both indoors and outside. The space is beautifully designed. It’s so peaceful and perfect for relaxing with friends and family. The owners and their family are so friendly and welcoming!

We were able to try all 6 of their wines for only $5. They offer three white wines and three reds ranging from dry to sweet. We loved all six - none were too dry or too sweet. They were all perfect. The bottles are available for $20 each. They also offer a small beer selection for those who don’t prefer wine. I’d highly recommend...
