Scenic Escape Barn — Attraction in Le Sueur

This was amazing! Besides the venue, Kelly herself was absolutely a gem! She was very helpful but also laid back and would roll with whatever ideas we wanted! The venue itself was beautiful! The usable decor made it easy for set up and cheaper for me! Ceremony sight was beautiful. My dream wedding came true here. Also my mom could bring her own desserts which made it much more special! Catering was great which you have to use for dinner - reasonably priced too. Getting ready was great. It would’ve been nice to have a full length mirror in the getting ready area - but the bathroom was only steps away and had one, but having both would’ve been nice. The ceremony chairs look high quality, tables are farmhouse and super cute in the barn. I didn’t know if I was going to enjoy having the barn red bc it wasn’t really in my color scheme but the pictures the photographer took made me forget about it. We had 185 ish people and dancing was totally great - I was wondering if the dance floor would be big enough but it was great. We had a square dance and SO many people danced. Sparkler sendoff was great - lots of people stayed till the end. I looked into a 2 hr ish radius (from Winsted) of the other barn venues and this one for price and what you get is really good which is why we ended up choosing it haha. There was plenty of different spots to take cute pictures. And just the freedom we had to do what we wanted and Kelly would help us achieve our dream was great - I did not feel like there were a bunch of rules I had to follow. There were fans in the barn in case it got super hot (it was kinda cold the day we got married so I don’t know if we used it) but the noice in the barn while we all were eating I don’t remember being super loud - I could hear my neighbor talk. *2 yrs later, still when I think back I am still so so happy I choose this place! We just held our wedding at Scenic Escape, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot! The owners, Kelly and Ryan, were amazing! They were so helpful with every detail: providing supplies for decorations and set up the day before, coordinating with vendors, setting up snack tables and starting a campfire during the reception, helping with cleanup at the end of the night. Kelly and Ryan both went above and beyond. At one point, I noticed Kelly bringing drinks to guests at their tables and helping older guests with their plates. She does everything she can to make the event a success!

If you’re a bride planning a wedding, this venue is so inclusive! They have a collection of decorations you can borrow, the salon on site did up myself and my bridesmaids so beautifully, the grounds are great for pictures, and there’s a sweet little “man cave” for the groomsmen to hangout in! The vendors they work with are great at what they do, and affordable. Kelly and Ryan are so helpful setting up everything as well!

Our guests were also so impressed with the venue. We heard nothing but compliments all day. We had to switch the ceremony inside last minute due to rain, and Kelly and Ryan pulled it off in 15 minutes with the help of some groomsmen! It was beautifully set up in a short time. My husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding venue! We loved having our wedding at Scenic Escape Barn, and our guests did too. Kelly and Ryan do a really great job of providing an end to end experience that takes a lot of the stress and planning out of a wedding. The venue is beautiful, they have a lot of decorations on hand to choose from (we hardly spent any money on other decorations), they have strong partnerships with great local vendors (catering, bartender, florist, makeup artist) so we didn't have to do much digging there, and they make sure everything runs smoothly on the day of. They also have an onsite salon.

In terms of the space, the barn and surrounding area are very pretty. It gives the rustic feel you want for a barn wedding but is modern enough that guests feel comfortable and all the other vendors can set things up the way they need to. They also have additional spaces if needed (groom's area, indoor ceremony space in case of rain). There's lots of room for kids to run and play and lots of activities for guests to choose from throughout the day as well (dance floor, bar area, outdoor seating, fire pit with smores', yard games).
