Aberlin Springs — Attraction in Lebanon

I had opportunity to visit Aberlin Springs yesterday, and Leslie Ratliff. I was introduced by Amy Michalares, of e-Merge Real Estate Victory! I have sold real estate for very nearly 30 years in Northern and Central Kentucky, and while preparing to visit (an unrelated) Springboro horse farm, Amy had told me about an "agri-community" only 5 minutes from where she lives in South Lebanon. I immediately said, "Amy, show me!! I want to see this!!" As it turned out, our afternoon opened up, with the postponement of our second horse farm appointment, and we headed straight to Aberlin Springs. What I saw was the most fascinating and unique development that I've seen in all 3 decades in real estate and development!! Leslie was so gracious in dropping everything (and I know she was busy!), that she took a full hour and a half to tour us the entire property, talking about the concept of a self-sustaining organic farm for the benefit of all the community residents. From the central "Swiss village" centerpiece (have you been to any small towns in Switzerland?), to the brandnew Pendragon homes (the building arm of Aberlin Springs), one must simply see this to really appreciate the lifestyle here! Honestly, it completely surpassed the mental picture I'd formed when Amy had first mentioned it earlier in the day. The concept, if I MUST distill to one word is "brilliant!!" I immediately said to Leslie we MUST re-create this concept in Northern or Central Kentucky (my area), although nestled in the hills of Warren County, Aberlin Springs is incredibly beautiful...even on a bleak February day!! PLEASE take the time to stop by!! I can absolutely, positively guarantee you will NOT be disappointed!! As I said, Amy, lives 5 minutes away and would be a superb tour guide! Please PM her. Love this place. Very peaceful, with a great farmer's market open in season on weekends. It's a well designed community with friendly, like minded people who care about their health and where their food comes from.
