What an awesome place to fish and hike trails. Did the yellow/perimeter trail. 12.7 miles. Very difficult unless trained or in shape. Trails could be better marked or more indicators of which direction to go. There are some HUGE bass in here. Caught proof Sunday Sept 1s. Got there and only casted couple times. And caught 8lb 9oz largemouth on New KVG spinnerbait. Snapped my brand new rod. Just know any cast could get same result. Look at my pictures I post with this.

I absolutely love hanging out here. I/we walk the beach then head to the marina to watch the families and friends head out for a day of boating fun. My dog Gracie comes too and we ALWAYS get a single dip of premium ice cream. The amount in the pic is nearly 3 dips anywhere else and like I said is premium ice cream at $2.50 It may not be the ocean but it's pretty good for Dayton Ohio, plus it has an awesome breeze, shaded or in the sun tables.

Next to the marina is a Young Anglers Pond. It is easy to miss if you are not looking for it. The pond has a number of benches and apparently it has fish as there were many men fishing. Unfortunately they were not suppose to be there as the pond is reserved for anglers 15 and younger. There were a number of geese at the pond. The large number of young geese was impressive.

Staff is great. Selection of snacks and stuff is above average. Would love more hot items and even sandwiches, but I do not think it was meant to be that kind of place. Pizza is good, not great. Ice Cream is much better than average. Slip rental could be an online deal, paperwork is a bit slower than it should be. Limited day slips on weekends, but I think it is built to fill the most needed items, gas, food and a potty break. Our second season on the lake, staff has been quite nice and it is a good place...

Ive been going here for years. Nice large park, large lake. Boating, sailing, kayaking, fiishing. The just put in a marina a few ago. If youre into parks its a good one, worth spending a day or a week there. Theres a campground, swimming, etc. Kid friendly visitor center with a few activites. If you know you way around wild eats theres plenty of blackberries and mullberries. Its an expansive place. I like taking my R/C crawler truck and having...
