Mighty Oak Lodge — Attraction in Lebanon

Mighty Oak lodge is a beautiful venue for a good price. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone after our experience. We had issues with them not being on site during rehearsal and day-of the wedding so we couldn’t get any questions answered. The sound system we were told about was a large Bluetooth compatible speaker that they said was charged and turned out wasn’t charged at all. They were in the middle of remodeling during our wedding so interior wall and insulation was exposed around the door the wedding party and guests entered through. When asked if a temporary fix could be done, our venue contact said they would ask but we didn’t hear anything from them after that. Day of the event there was nothing changed and now there is insulation in several photos. Landscaping crews were on property as guest arrived at 12:30 and when we asked the venue the day before to move the large tractors so they wouldn’t be in the pictures and they told us they would be moved, they were in fact not moved. Bride and groom requested the boat they have on property that they offer for photos and the venue said they would pull it in for them. This never happened. When the bride and groom returned weeks later with the same request to take more photos the venue failed to retrieve it AGAIN.

In addition to that we had ordered table clothes and when we spoke to our venue contact about them we were told we owed $24 on the table clothes. We were not informed this was after losing all of our refundable deposit because they cost $524 to rent. This was not made clear to us until after a month and a half of waiting for them to get back to us about our deposit they told us we owed and wouldn’t get our deposit back. After a month of them not answering the phone and waiting days before responding to texts only to say they would work on it and then another week would go by without any news. That’s when they finally sent us the invoice saying we owed.

The decorations are beautiful. The staff is sweet, but it felt like after they had been paid 99% of what we owed (because the $24 wasn’t paid yet-unbeknownst to us) they were no longer the easy to work with or the well communicated team we had worked with before the wedding.

Our Son married his lovely wife at the Mighty Oak Lodge this September and it was absolutely amazing! We have no regrets choosing this beautiful venue and the owners are just as wonderful. Ellee was so helpful as we planned a wedding from miles away and were not familiar with the area. She helped us choose the perfect vendors, and a quick shout out to All That Music, Andy's 411, and Mind if I Smoke BBQ, all awesome vendors! If we had to do anything differently; we would have chosen Ellee as the photographer, but we had already committed to someone else before we knew she did photography too! She has a great eye and experience with weddings. Ellee was so easy to work with and such a delightful person. She went above and beyond, I won't get in to details, but she stepped in when she did not have to and offered her expertise to make a bad situation better! (Sincerely, thank you again so much Ellee.) We could sense her good-hearted nature upon meeting her for the first time and we all knew this was the perfect place. I could tell you how amazing the place is, but honestly it speaks for itself, and is absolutely gorgeous! The wedding and reception were both held here, which made it so easy on all the guests who traveled from all around. Everyone had a wonderful time and everything was so beautiful from the ceremony to Jett and Kayla's final dance! You made it! Congratulations you two, we love you!

This venue is breathtakingly stunning Just pure magic! We initially toured because we loved the idea of getting married under the beautiful oak tree. As it turns out, this venue has it all - beautiful trees, lake views, patio area with a fire pit, open green space, pavilion, romantic walkway, and of course the work of art that is the lodge itself. The attention to detail that went into building the lodge is incredible. We are in awe of this place, and so were our guests!

A huge added bonus is the wide range of decorations available to use. It was so nice to not have to think about a decor budget, and it was fun to play around with different decor at the venue itself.

Another huge bonus - getting to work with Mike and Tracy! These two exude positive energy, and the passion for making the day special just radiates off of them. We never had a doubt that they love nurturing the venue and everyone who comes through it. They're always looking for ways to improve the experience. In the short time between booking the venue and celebrating our wedding, they added a firepit, outdoor bar, and new couch. They even test the soil periodically to keep the oak tree happy and healthy.
