Bacchus & Rockwell Rare Coins LLC — Attraction in Lee's Summit

It was awhile back but better late never I say. I sold him (the owner cant remember his name) a penny album 1909-1941 or 42. With maybe 2 or 3 missing, 1909vdb s,1912 s and I believe 1914 d. Other than that they were all there. Even a vf 1931 s that I should have popped out before I went in. I was facing eviction if I didn't get some Cash together ASAP so I sold him the entire album for $40 with the promise of it still being there with a $50 price tag in case I wanted to come back and get it. $10 markup I was more than willing to deal with to get them back. I came back maybe a month afterwards to buy back my collection and what happens? He pretends he has no idea what I'm talking about and supposedly had no recollection of our agreement. I get it it's a business and he has to profit in order to stay afloat. Fair enough, but don't lie man. Okay coin selection, but definitely never stepping foot inside b&r coins again. I know that's no loss to you (b&r coins owner) but I expected a little bit more honesty than that. Oh...

Today my Grandma took me to Bacchus & Rockwell because I started coin collecting and we were amazed at how helpful the owners were. They answered all my questions about coins and showed me a bunch of cool stuff. I was given a coin collecting book so I could look up the value of coins I find. I bought a book of pennies with dates starting at 1941 and going up to 1979. I love it. They were so glad I was interested in coin collecting that Ted, the owner, gave me a birthday present, an old Indian head penny from 1890 (I can't believe it). My Grandma bought a big rock also and that made her happy too. VERY, VERY NICE AND HELPFUL PEOPLE, we will definitely be going back...

Have soured on this place. Brought my dad' s collection in they rated it poor but now has it displayed for sale with outrageous prices. Don't forget to price shop before you go into this shop. I know I didn't have to sell it but also know I don't have to buy anything. They WERE coins from my collection. I evan asked you about some of them when you sorted . 3 month update: Have not been back because I have found a couple of better shops and respectable dealers.... I should NOT have to make a counter offer if your a honest dealer..........Ted still disappointed.
