I would not recommend Crowly furniture especially the Lees's Summit location due to the customer service we received. Let me explain. Our goal was to replace our current couch. Our sales representative Paula was great. She did her best and made a sale. Unfortunately due to the current pandemic most sofa's were on a three month back order. Therefore we chose a floor model and opted out of delivery. After paying we were informed it was our responsibility to get the couch out of the store our selves with the help of our sales person. We had to manuver this large couch through the sales floor ourselves and load it into our truck. We were baffled they didn't have even one loading person to assist us at least get it off of the salesroom floor.
This is were the very disappointing and rude customer service comes into play. Again I want to stress Paula provided great customer service. Less that 24 hours later we decided the couch was not a fit for us. We were going to go back to Crowley and purchase a different couch. I called to ask what the return policy was regarding were to go when we get to the store.. etc. We knew we had 7 days to return the couch, however needed to know when we get to the store what the process would be. The sales person that answered the phone proceeded to say they could not help me only our sales person could and she was with a customer. I explained we were driving and just needed to know the basics were to unload at etc. She again stated she couldn't help me. I stressed we are driving to the store she then explained there would be a 10% restocking fee. I explained I understand if this was a couch that was ordered and was returned and it had to be restocked, but we personally carried this couch out of the store and we are personally are bringing it back less than 24hours later. She states there was nothing she could do.
I was baffled. I understand the policy, however I did ask to speak to the manager. I explained the situation again to the manger. The manager explained there was nothing as that was the policy. The call ended.
I called back as we were almost to the store and we still had not received a call back. I completely understand Paula was busy. I just needed to know what to do when we get there!!! (What would happen if Paula was not there.. we couldn't take the couch back?) The salesperson that answered the phone (it was the same one that answered my first call) She stated we told you what to do and that wasn't good enough so just bring it back and we will deal with it. I was thrown back by her rudeness. I asked for her name and she stated it doesn't matter and wouldn't provide her name and hung up on me.
Very unprofessional. We took our money elsewhere and purched a...
Read moreThis is more of aproduct review than a Crowley Furniture review but I purchased it from here so I am leaving the review. It is in regard to the Franklin brand sofa and loveseat that I purchased roughly 7 months ago.
I was excited to be able to buy a new set after 8 years of having my set from Flexsteal. To my disappointment, I am looking to replace this set already due to it looking like it is already old and worn out.
The fabric choice I went with was what I thought to be a durable twill look as I have kids and pets and we do use our furniture daily. Horrible choice. Looks worn and snags. Ripped at the corner of the couch.
I had microfiber before and it still looked new. Very easy to clean. It was just an outdated pattern and I wanted something more modern.
Dropping two thousand dollars on new furniture is a big decision for me and not one I can afford to do often and I made sure to research the brand and thought it would be Sturdy and something that would last our family a few years at least BUT I will have to just trash this soon.
I did not buy the additional warranty and I had a situation where damage was done to the loveseat due to us so I could not rightfully say it was the manufacturer but now I am stuck with the poor quality that is not my issue.
Save yourself and do not buy the Franklin Brand. Spend a few extra dollars and go with Flexsteal or Bernhardt. It will go out of style before it wears out…
As far as dealing with Crowley Furniture, I went in three times before I purchased. Once to the Blue Springs Store where the salesman was put out by me wanting the measurements of a sectional. Was pretty rude when I asked for a tape measure and went over and pointed at the flyer a d said you can figure it out off of these measurements.
Went in to the Lee’s Summit location and was looking around and had a sales lady helping me with some measurements and then five minutes later said can I write that up for you. But third times a charm as the next time I went into the Lee’s Summit store and had the best sales lady that let me actually look and was close when I had questions but was not on my back the whole time. She was knowledgeable and had been selling furniture for years and shared her thoughts but also listened to your...
Read moreSpecial ordered England Brenna style sofa, chair and half, and ottoman from Crowley a little over a year ago. Immediately upon receipt we noticed the seam on top of middle back couch cushion was sewn incorrectly. Within a few days, Crowley returned to retrieve sofa for repair. After several weeks of sitting on repaired couch and chair, we became concerned with the lack of support while sitting on the corner seats of both couch and chair. "Sitting on either corner was like sagging into the abyss". Also, there was an obvious lack of stuffing material in the back cushions of both couch and chair which got noticeably worse over the course of several weeks. We again contacted Crowley for service. A technician arrived with extra stuffing for the back cushions. He also moved the seat cushions around hoping I guess that turning them over and rotating them would make a difference. It didn't. Obviously the support under the seat cushions is lacking but he decided to replace the seat cushion of the chair. Brought new cushion back at a later date at which time he put even more stuffing into back cushions. Neither helped. We had friends over recently who both complained about the uncomfortable furniture. Both the couch and chair are now so uncomfortable we are now looking to replace them with a higher quality product. We have no complaint with the service department at Crowley. Although it was obvious they weren't willing to replace the inferior quality couch and chair, their technicians did try to appease us with simple fixes. Our main complaint is that they sell this brand of poor quality furniture. We looked up the reviews for England brand furniture after our purchase. My bad, I didn't have the foresight to do that before purchase. Anyway, the reviews as you might think were horrible. Although over the past 2 decades we have purchased several pieces of good quality furniture from Crowley, this purchase has tainted their reputation...
