If heaven has a dog park, it probably looks a lot like Dogwood Park — minus the squirrels taunting your dog from the fence line. 🐿️

This place is dog paradise. It’s like Disneyland for canines — except the rides are other dogs running full speed in unpredictable directions. There’s room for fetch, zoomies, and whatever that sideways hop thing is my dog does when she’s showing off.

It’s clean, safe, and well maintained — which, let’s be honest, is saying a lot when there are 47 dogs doing their business at any given time. The humans are friendly too (probably because our dogs have already broken the ice for us).

If your pup has energy to burn or you just want to feel like a proud parent watching them live their best life, Dogwood Park is the spot. Bring water, a ball, and prepare to cancel your plans — because your dog’s not leaving...

I like that they have a main fenced off area and a "small dog" area, my 5 month old doberman isn't exactly small but was traumatized by a larger dog attacking him when he was 3 months old and so he gets overwhelmed by groups of dogs, especially large "mouthy" dogs. It allowed me to have him in an open area close to other dogs in an attempt to rebuild his confidence & train him in the presence of other dogs. The grass could.be better kept but there's a nice long walking path and a few benches. Has a small creek/mud pit area running thru the middle for dogs to get wet, nice & muddy before getting back into your car, but there is also access to fresh water so I suppose you could rinse your pup down afterwards too. It's in a convenient spot, not the most noticeable from the main road but only a couple hundred yards off...

My mutts love this place. If your dog needs exercise this is a good place to take him or her. There's a paved one third of a mile long trail around the perimeter with plenty of Green Space in the middle for them to run and fetch and Chase one another. Dog lovers gather here. There is also a a small water park for the dogs to play in and it is open during warm season. If you own a smaller dog there is an area sectioned off and fenced for smaller dogs if the owner wishes to keep their dog separate.

Very few squabbles amongst the dogs. For the most part they are all having fun. If you have an aggressive or domimant dog then this isnt the place for...

My pup loves Dogwood Park. It’s set up with a gated area for larger dogs and a separate gated section for smaller dogs. In the larger area, there are 2 water stations, including 1 that has a fountain that shoots up in the air to cool off the dogs. There’s plenty of lawn for the dogs to run and sniff a few butts, and there’s a small shaded creek for them to investigate. For the more adventurous dogs, there’s also a play area where they can run over ramps and through a giant tunnel. For the humans, there’s a nice circular walkway with park benches where you can sit and rest.

Great park we use daily but NO support from parks and rec with aggressive animals toward people. There’s one girl who has a dog that has aggressively ran at me and backed me up against the fence 6 times now until she gets it off me. Parks and rec tell me to instantly call animal control that is not open many times I am there or on weekends. Call and leave a message they say with no response. I shouldn’t have to leave because of one aggressive animal that has something against me when we get along with everyone else.
