Grains & Taps Home Brew Supply Store — Attraction in Lee's Summit

This place is a great source for microbrews to drink at the establishment or for the grains and other elements that go into small home distilling and brewing. There was one employee at the time, but he was successfully able to handle both sides of the establishment (selling beer for on-premises consumption, and selling the discrete components for creating your personal microbrew or small-batch wine and spirits). Grains & Taps is a refreshing change in the marketplace; they've been around for a number of years and they are friendly, knowledgeable on what they have to offer, they will sell the products in-store or (if what you need is only available via order) they'll help you place your order pick up or delivery to your home. I will say I love the yeasty smell of their small-batch brews; it hits you when you walk through the door and is a truly unique scent... it always makes me think of "Cheers". Grains and Taps home brew supply is my go to for brewing. I can send them recipes that I am brewing and they mill, package it up and have it ready super quickly. They maintain a nice assortment of yeast, grains, chemicals and products. I’ve used them to order products numerous times if I need something special.

Great selection of beer on tap and an awesome homebrew supply store in the back! I came here for Yeast since my usual store, Bacchus and Barleycorn, didn't have any British Ale V. I picked up the White Lab equivalent and it saved my brew plans that weekend! I liked the Trains and Gaps (Red Ale) a lot! I'd come back more if I lived closer. More importantly than the beer, were the awesome staff that worked there! They made it a fun and great experience in Lee's Summit. I'd come back with my friends or to meet up with the ZZ Hops...
