I just came back from Hobby Lobby in Lees Summit and I am NEVER going back. Worlds worst customer service in every department. Two associates were having a personal conversation in fabric and didn't even acknowledge me. If you want to know what happened at check out, call the manager there. I went to Michaels after that. It was a new and wonderful world, where I was greeted, assisted and thanked. What a concept. Leave it to a store that has "religious" values to be dismissive and rude.
Second entry: I went back to Hobby Lobby today because the manager had been so nice to me. They had given me a rain-check on an item. When I went to pick it up - it was damaged. I had the same bad customer experience. There were 5 ladies restocking on the jewelry aisle. None of them asked if they could help me. When I asked where things were the gave abrupt answers and didn't take me to the item. They were underneath me and nudging out of me out of the way so they could shelve things all the while bitching about having to be there and doing this work and that the manager would make them stay and they were tired and had been there since 7AM. Finally, I felt chased off the aisle when another associate started in on her hot flashes. I would have stayed longer in that depsrtment had it been a more hospitable environment so these ee's cost HL sales. I am doing a big, big month long jewelry show at a local gallery soon so I guess Hobby Lobby doesn't need my business. When I went up front I told the Assistant Manager about it. While we were talking another associate walked up and just stood there listening. Can you believe she let an employee stand there the whole time listening to comments about other eee's? I finally asked him if he was in mgmt or why he thought this private conversation was ok for him to listen to. He shrugged. How can HL ever improve the customer experience when the AM doesn't even have the good sense to shoo this low level ee away during our private conversation? It's hopeless. Hey Hobby Lobby. If you can hear me...train your employees they are chasing people off. I would have to go back there (dreaded) but I think I am going to return my $50.00 purchase. Even though they knew I had another horrible experience I haven't heard from any one from HL today. I shopped all day today, including going to Micheal's and had not one single bad Customer Service...
Read moreFirst of all Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores🥰! But today went to the Lee Summit one for the first time. Let me start from the beginning my oldest daughter is a nursing major so she has to start clinicals at a Kansas City Hospital next week ,so we took today to drive up there so she knew where to go on Monday. So we also took her great grandmother and my youngest daughter for the drive. On our way back we stopped at the Big Biscuit for breakfast and then over to Hobby Lobby for some paint and a very large canvas for Grandma. Here is where it gets weird My daughters go to the bathroom and a girl who works in the fabric department followed them and was being very weird in the bathroom didn't even use it,was in there just to look at my girls then follows them out and point to another woman and they both start following my daughter's then the girls both run up to me scared to death and that woman looks at me with a terrified look ,and said can I help you find anything mind you I have a cart of Grandma's paint. The whole situation was very strange and people are getting so weird anymore you never know what someone wants! I have read other people being followed in this store I purchased my items and left because of the uneasy feeling but please family members stick together in here...
Read moreI was followed around in the store. I was followed out of the store and the manager wrote down my license plate and I confronted him and asked him what he was doing and he had told me that he was making a note for his wife whenever he gets home and I asked him why did he have to go outside to do that and he lied to me again and he got an attitude with me and accused me of stealing something and I told him that he could search me and my purse to prove that I didn't steal anything and he proceeded to walk back into the store and lock the door totally uncalled for I've never stolen anything from a store in my life I felt extremely disrespected I don't know if Hobby Lobby just stereotypes because I'm young or what but horrible horrible experience I have not gone back there ever since...
