I will not be going back here again. This is the third time I have left frustrated, dissatisfied and disappointed! The locations at Oak Park and Independence Center are 100% better. I came in this last time to get my custom wedding band re-dipped and a prong fixed on my diamond. I brought my paperwork so it would be simple and easy to find in their system and of course it wasn’t and took 30 minutes to get it checked in. After she checked it in I noticed they didn’t do my right ring just one of the diamonds since it was custom and parted from another ring. The value was well below so if it were to get lost or have issues they wouldn’t have been liable. I also have a lifetime warranty, but the paper said it was going to charge me. I brought up both issue and the manager said it wouldn’t be an issue. She wrote on my page and hers the correct value and that I won’t be charged. I got notification that my ring was at their facility for repair a few days later. My mom was also getting her ring fixed and had similar issues, but 30 days later we never heard from the Lee’s summit location so my mom chatted with a live representative who said her ring had been back at the store for 4 days. We still did not receive a call. My mom went to get her ring and just checked about my ring and sure enough it was there! No communication at all on their end!!! They tried to charge my mom for my ring like we were told wouldn’t happen and their excuse for not calling was that my phone number was disconnected. I have had the same phone number for years, my husbands number is on our account and my moms number was also on her and my account! They also didn’t check it into the store because I never received another email like I have gotten before saying it’s back! If you’re going to spend money I would go to a different Kay, this one is horrible...
Read moreI just went to the Kay’s in Lee Summit off of Chipman, and that nice little shopping spread and met the two nicest young ladies. I stupidly did not think to ask for their names, but one is blonde and has five dogs, and the other one is a brunette and has a zillion cats. They were both so personable and friendly, we laughed and became instant friends. They were so warm and welcoming. I was very impressed with their customer service skills and their interpersonal skills. I was there for a repair and I’ve lost some weight and I wanted to see if they could help me with something temporary so I wouldn’t lose my wedding ring because I still plan on losing more weight . I was welcomed with a hello and a smile great conversation about animals and they helped me with my wedding ring, and a broken necklace. And then gave me a nice little pouch for my little charm that goes with my necklace so I wouldn’t lose it and cleaned the soap out of it for me all of this and I purchased nothing with them. What a great experience Kay jewelry you did a good job hiring these two beautiful young women. Good job, ladies!

Read moreAs a customer, I hate the feeling of being deceived. My husband purchased a necklace for me in December, or for it to break it week later. We had it fixed but it looked like someone just pinched the rings together and took a welding fun to it. One big clump of mettle that looked awful on a dainty chain. After wearing it for 24h after the repair it broke again. When taking it in and pointing out the botched repair job I was assured I would get a replacement chain. I picked up my necklace only to find the same lumpy patchwork. When I confronted the lady she said “that’s just how they do it” and if I wanted a new chain I needed to purchase it online, ship it to the store, and THEN she who’s cancels the transaction?? Considering I have a warranty, and cannot get a strait answer that seems a little off.
Considering every time I am here I get a different condescending answer to the same question, I will be taking my business to a different location...
