Hadn't been in a few years because of covid but went today. The rating is for the front desk staff. We were unaware that they have this new terrible system where you can only buy tickets online through the parks and rec website and you can no longer just walk up and swipe a card or give them cash, which is ridiculous. You have to give them your email and personal info to create an account to be able to buy tickets. This is extremely annoying and inconvenient especially when you're trying to do this in front of the building with no wifi and the website is having trouble loading. And all that just to swim for the day. There was a little girl out front crying because she had money for the ticket but couldn't get in because of this system and had to wait for her mom to come back to do it online.
So, once we finally get the tickets on our phones I just mention to the lady like "man that was pretty inconvenient why aren't they able to sell tickets at the front anymore?" Just expecting like a short explanation and a 'sorry for the inconvenience' type deal. But get this. She just completely ignored us. She just took my phone and scanned the tickets in and didn't say a word to us when she clearly heard me ask her. So then my girlfriend just said "oh and for some reason it only gave him the discount and not me even though we have the same address we live together" (expecting them to do something about it) and her and another lady at the front still just didn't say a single word and ignored us. And I was just like... ummm... okay..???? Like what the hell??? It was a terrible start to what's supposed to be a fun day at the pool. Really bugged us for the rest of the time we were there. We weren't being difficult or rude at all we were just talking and asking questions while checking in. Why in the world were their actions so rude and disrespectful. I hope someone checks these because I...
Read morePurchased a "birthday package" and a "cabana" last weekend. I will start with the birthday package, the package does not include any area for parties. Get there early so you can hold enough chairs for your guests because the park leaves that part up to you. But be aware even if you get there early they had us write the names of all of our guests on a list, which I understand. It would just have made things alot easier if we would habe known this in advance since we had not brought the list of names. By the time we were done filling out this list hundreds of people had entered the park and taken the majority of chairs in the park. They advertised the package as having an area for guests to go and have Ice cream, there was no area for this, we were simply given wristbands and told for the kids to go get their icecream from the concession stand. So after waiting in line for 30 minutes we had to get whatever chairs we could find in the concessions area. This entire experience was very unorganized and we were given no directions or explanations.
Now luckily we had decided to also pay for a cabana, so our party at least had a place to gather. It was pretty cramped as the cabana is designed for no more than 4 people (came with 3 chairs and 1 lounger). Had another family upset because apparently they had also paid to rent this cabana, so we had to deal with that. Again luckily for us we got there before the park opened or we would've been out the cabana as well ( sorry to the other family who lost out due to mismanagement ). My biggest complaint about our cabana was that it was literally as far away from ever pool entrance as possible, doesnt seem like that big of a deal, however everysingle child and parent including me complained of how hot the concrete was. They make concrete and coatings for pools to avoid this, but this park doesnt have that so bring water shoes to...
Read moreSo disappointed.... We paid for a birthday party package on Saturday for our sons 6th birthday. We were scheduled for 2:45. Around 2:15 as we're loading everyone into the car we get a phone call from a young lady stating that the power went out, and we can either reschedule or get a refund. We chose the refund because we already had guest heading to a pool party, and his B-Day was that day so we needed to seek something quickly. When I stated refund then came all the run around. We were told to call Devin (manager) for the refund. When we called we got a voice mail that stated a call back would be given within 48 hours. That was unacceptable considering they knew the power was out at 8 am., and messed up the whole event by forcing us to have to change the plans last minute. We called back and she stated that he might be in meetings (on a Saturday). Then she tells me that our refund won't be immediate. And to top it all off she wasn't empathetic at all. She couldn't understand how waiting 6 hours to inform someone to make other plans would be a MAJOR inconvenience. So we ended up paying more money than planned to go to another water park. No area to eat, do gifts, or even sit due to the crowd, amongst other things that wouldn't have been if we had more time to plan. My husband and I left multiple messages on Devin's voicemail, for him not to call back. I called on Monday, and he answered. He stated all of the refunds were submitted that morning, and to give it 24-48 hours, and that if I don't see it then my bank is the issue. Well it's been 72 hours, no money,...
