The Summit Church — Attraction in Lee's Summit

I have been fortunate to be a part of The Summit Church for over 25 years. It’s been amazing to see the growth of this church. This is a place where you will feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door. There are many ways to get connected and create a community. You will see the “FOR” being thrown around a lot. This is a church that is FOR people, FOR the Lee’s Summit community. The Summit is FOR the future. Kid and Student Ministries have grown immensely. It is a place where a child/teen can learn about Jesus in a practical and relevant way based on their age.

Honestly, I could go on and on about how much this church means to me. But I will leave it at this… This is a church where the pastors preach the gospel, adults get connected and kids learning about...

It is always a weird experience trying to find a new church. Going and evaluating if you want to make a place your home - where you can serve and be served. After attending 4 services, I have some thoughts. The Summit Church appears to have a heart for the community. Worship was good, like your typical modern church that focuses on Hillsong style worship. However, the preaching was significantly lacking. The pastors do not even bring a bible up to the pulpit. They preach from an ipad, which lends the sermon to feel more like a corporate presentation than a biblical lesson. The sermons are lacking theological depth, and the bible is...

Beautiful place to meet wonderful friendly people. The worship service has very talented people!! Very relaxed atmosphere, from coffee to service. The sermons are so down to earth and interesting. The whole experience of attending church here, leaves you with a very upbeat feeling to life. If you haven't visited here, please do. I personally drive 57miles one way to attend.
