Visiting Epping me and my partner were looking for something to do and we found this garden that looked beautiful online. Sadly cannot attest to how it looks beyond the gates as we had apparently attempted to visit this garden 30 minutes before it closed. Understandably we only wanted to take a quick look around and perhaps come back another time as the outside was gorgeous. Upon walking halfway past what seemed to be a shop was stopped by a clerk who alerted us to the Garden almost closing. After confirming we knew of their impending close we were presumed to be able to move forward. When an extremely rude member of the staff approached us and aggressively told us they were closed for the day. Then the clerk proceeded to tell him that they were not closed yet, customers around we also still shopping and a few were beyond the gates seemingly also having just entered. After a few rude comments about paying for admission something we didn’t see any signs for or were aware of (and after looking on the website seeing only a suggested donation listed.) We decided to leave, with a poor taste in our mouths. If there had been an admittance fee we would have gladly paid it and been our way, or even come back another time now knowing the proper hours. But due to the rude nature of this particular staff member who seemed happy to have us removed from the Gardens we will likely...

Very disorganized. No one to help or ask questions. The numbers and the map are garbage. Started fine until 4. Four is listed on a bench. 4 is actually 300 yrds away past the pond to the left. 6 (allue) was not even remotely correct as 6 is labeled on 3 metal long round things. It's almost 800 yrds away. Then I came across another one just past darkwood, it was labeled 13 on it. Not even close. Your own map says 13 is swere something. It was like 8 on the map. My final straw was the hedge w the fountain. It cleaely has an open path and benches...that was sealed off left and right...what a joke. Somehow I went from 18 to 26 shrubira....just a total mess. The point if going was to "relax". I was more stressed looking for rediculous things that didn't correspinde to the right numbers on their own map and website. I missed easily over a quater of the garden spots. Here's an idea. A solid path...arrows pointing to the next stop. Arrows showing the CORRECT CORRESPINDING NUMBER. When you get to the spot, an arrow labeling the name of the spot How did I find the Baxis #8 before 7. Then 10 was the spiral garden, but 13 was mislabeled. Good god, did someone w adhd design all this. I left...

This place was not what was expected. Online it says 15$ donation SUGGESTED as soon as we walked to the entrance we were pressured by a women “15$ admission fee PER PERSON” If that was the case the website should say required and not donation or suggested. The grounds had some beautiful spots for sure and i was able to catch a few pretty photos. It had many soots to sut and relax which was very nice but 100% Not worth the 30$ we spent. We were done with it within an hour and that was with a baby stroller and truly there wasnt as much to look at as online suggested. Also an older man was taking care of or doing something with the the coop when a couple with a child asked him about the birds and where they were at? my fiancé told them they were huddled over down the path and the guy was kind of rude with his response of “yeah they are hiding” and gave us a look like he didnt want us to tell them where they were. The last thing is the map they provide doesn’t actually correlate with the walk. We were confused on where to walk and what we were looking at the whole time. Im honestly very disappointed and we will not...

WOW 😳! I never knew this place was right next to RT.125! I learned about the garden from the Hippo 🦛 Press 📰 Newspaper. This place is, to quote the ninth Doctor, " Fantastic!". I brought my kids and my son had a good time interacting with the staff. My daughter liked the swinging bench. My friend, she found the place relaxing. The flowers 🌸, plants, none named Robert, ponds, none named Amy, and sculptures with the well maintained paths made my time here so enjoyable. I let my daughter take pictures with my phone 📱 and I enjoyed having my son smell the flowers. The website says that wheelchairs ♿ with wide tires or that are made for the outdoors will be able to navigate the gardens. A regular stroller will also be able to navigate. They are raising 🐝 bees so be, ahem, careful. Bring water 💦 on a hot 🥵 day. I'm glad I did, and so were my kids. There is a small garden shoppe at the entrance. They sell drinks as well. I highly recommend visiting if you want a relaxing time and you are into gardening!
