Not always accessible due to military live fire training. But I highly recommend a tour if you get the opportunity. The wild horses are beautiful!

The stars are great here, go out on a new moon with no clouds. You can see bits of the Milky Way.

Was in the military still in 2017 when I saw my first Skinwalker here in Peason Ridge. I had no idea what these things were and if someone told me they saw one I would probably never believe them until I came face to face with one.. So we leave Fort Polk to do training and go through anacoco, Louisiana to do live firing exercise at Peason Ridge in 2017. We drive about 10 miles into the woods and get to our Orp to set up camp. As night starts to roll around we put our night vision goggles on our helmets to get ready to do some walk throughs in the woods with our squads. It was about 9pm at night and I had to go pee so I left our Orp and went about 200 feet into the woods to go take a piss. I had my night vision goggles on while peeing cause pee always looks cool with night vision on and I look up at this open field about 2 football lengths and I see something look at me on the far right side of this open field in front of me and it stood up massively tall and as it saw me it then took off running across this open field on 2 legs and it had the longest arms I've ever seen. Its arms were touching the ground almost dragging while it was running at speeds of about 30 mph. This creature was massive about 8 feet tall. I watched it through my night vision goggles for about 30 seconds until it disappeared through the woods on the other end. I've never seen anything like this before it felt like I was watching a movie. As I gathered myself and realized what I had saw wasn't human my heart sank and was beating so fast. I quickly ran back in a panic to the ORP and let my whole chain of command know what I had saw. I obviously was freaking out and couldn't calm down. They made sure after what I had saw we all went out in 2's if someone had to use the bathroom in the woods. About an hour later we do formation drills with our squads for 20 mins where we walk through the woods. We go through the woods on the opposite side of where I saw this creature. I still couldn't get over what I had saw and we get about 500 feet deep into the woods and then one of my friends in my squad started screaming WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT! As soon as I looked over there it was.. standing watching all 4 of us then it started to bounce back and forth between trees and we all started to run back to the Orp screaming. They all panicked to the chain of command saying I was right! There is something not human out in those woods. We ended up building a fire and kept it going until morning. The sight of my 1st Skinwalker sighting still haunts me til this day at Peason Ridge, Louisiana. Im writing this to warn others to take caution when you go into these woods cause they are very real and do exist in...
