I have road at this park dozens of times over the last 5 years. BUT, I have my only issue with my current reservation at this site. I have had no issues before because we did not have a conflict with our RV spot reservation. Again, I have visited this park dozens of times and had a wonderful experience. So, my wife and I booked for a weekend rv spot September 22-24. Paid in full. My wife was rescheduled at work and we were advised that she would have to work that weekend. So, I went to the sabine website to try to find out the cancelation policy and attempt to cancel our spot on August 19. Over 30 days from our arrival date. I was unable to find a cancelation policy on their website. So, I contacted sabine mud park directly. I was met with extremely rude employees who advised that I cannot cancel or receive a refund. Their response was "we don't look at the online site, but the cancelation policy is NO REFUND". I was aggravated with the lack of respect first, second with the fact that no policy is listed. I asked to be contacted by ownership. Which I left my name and number to the already rude and disrespectful employee. At this time, I went to the website and also entered a message to please be contacted in reference to an rv spot rental. I have heard nothing from no one. No one returned my call or responded to my message.... So, Sabine Mud park which I have made dozens of rentals at over the years will never get my business again and any of my group(usually 5-10 campers) that I can talk out of visiting this park will be forwarded. Congrat Sabine! The one and only time I needed you to help us out, you failed miserably. I hope my $65 for the weekend was...
Read morePark has lots of riding, the trails are wide and endless. The river section is full of clean white sand with fresh flowing water to play in. There was a small alligator within 30 ft of the children just checking us out so watch the kids and small animals. The park does need to have some security patrols and enforce a no music quiet time after 10 pm like River Run does in the camp/RV sections. Trying to sleep with people blasting music and doing donuts 50 ft from your RV campsite is impossible… it’s not only unsafe it’s annoying. Showers are nice, and they have 2 wash bays for the bikes. The store is also stocked well. They don’t sell gas just fyi. The riding is a 5, the management structure and rules are a 3 at best. Side note- the showers have auto shutoff switches so depending what time you go you may have an ice cold shower like we did. The office knows about it but didn’t seem to care to have the staff flip the switch back or find a permanent solution. They also do NOT water truck spray the main sand roads that line the RV sites. It’s a dust bowl… They only water near the front office. Overall the park is nice and we will go back in the...
Read moreI absolutely loved it, I've had more fun here then I could imagine. The store is open late and actually has food for hungry riders, covid 19 is NOT used as an excuse here and the staff is polite , friendly and professional; they're not drunk and or under the influence..
The terrain varies from rocky to sandy with plenty of hills and challenging pits with plenty of wide and smooth straights that allow you to stretch your machines legs although you should try to keep your speed limited to 25mph 😇.
What I like the best about the park is no trucks allowed on the trails. That's certainly a headache I don't need when I'm trying to unwind.
This place is great ,I've visited several times and plan to keep coming back. Next up is a full ride along review video so you may see what we see. Burkeville is a beautiful place and I'm proud to have been a resident, Great place, wonderful people and a fantastic time at Sabine...
