Cypress Cove Park — Attraction in Leland

Seems to be alot of misleading reviews. This place is excellent for what it is. It is a public water access for anyone that enjoys kayaking, rc boating, or just fishing. It offers an awesome firepit off to the side with ample sitting. Overhanging trees to keep the woodsy feel. There is a nice large grass lot that could be used for picnics, or outdoor games. It also has a picnic table.

The kayak launch itself is great. We use it frequently, and it is inflatable kayak safe. I use the area alot for tinkering with my rc boats. If you are wanting a park with swings and a playground, this isn't the place. This is a nature park. It does have trails, but in the form of water and that is what this park caters to.

The area it is in, is not "bad" as some have stated. I'm not sure why lower income became lumped with being a bad neighborhood. This are local born and raised leland citizens, that have nothing but smiles and waves to offer as you drive through. I've never felt unsafe at this park, and my 2 year old and I frequently...

Sturgeon Creek Park offers an area where you can go fishing and put your kayak in. It has an area where are you and your family can sit around a fire pit. You would need to bring your own wood and anything else that you would want for your cookout. Please be mindful that you are not supposed to have any alcohol beverages, they are prohibited. There are not any bathrooms or any concessions at this park. The park consists of a fire pit, a gravel area for parking, a small dock for relaxing or fishing. The park is not visible from the street.
