Read moreToday we were passing by the temple ( we are traveling to another city and we are new to chicago and this temple) and aee the arch from outside and instantly decided to go in to the temple. I wore half sleeves so i was hesitant to go inside as i know its temple and it may not be allowed. But again could not reaiat myself to see the devine god. As aoon as i entered one lady came to me and said “ from next time dont come to temple with sleevleas top. I said yea i am aware of it and i wont so it. There was aome puja going on and pujari was handling kalasams to people who are present there. I quitely sat there, but one lady asked me why you are not taking kalasam i said i wore sleeveless top and i am not aure if i can come and take it. Ahe said its looking good no need to worry and go and take the kalasam. When i went and atood in the line, pujari refuaed to give me the kalasam. I am not the inly ine who wore sleeveless toos. It really hurt me like anything i could not concentrate on th god also i immediately ran in to the car as i was unable to control my tears.
Pujari ji : its not a unacceptable and punishable offense that i wore sleeveless top i know tradition. But its not the way you should behave. I am born juat the way you born and when you or i sie there will no aingle thread on our body. And i am not saying or supporting anyone to wear or go against tradition s but when one feels sorry, you must forgive them.
