I was keeping up with what Ron's Pasties are currently being made and sold (plus I didn't want to drive all the way to Howell for them). I came across Ron's pasty how-to video on Facebook, shot at Choice Farm Market, a short jaunt off of I-96 in Webberville. To my surprise, Ron is now making his famous pasties fresh (or every other day) at CFM. I hopped into my car, drove about 25 minutes to the Market. Once inside, I discovered a neat shop specializing in Mid-Michigan Made/Made in Michigan foods. My localvore heart leapt for joy. Ended up purchasing a slew of cold Ron's Pasties for my household, plus others, and a pint of Moo-Ville Cookie Monster ice cream. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was quite chill and relaxing. Now that I know Ron's Pasties are made here on a frequent basis, I will shop here more...
Read moreFinally had a chance to stop in here on my way home from work and I’m so glad I did. The staff is amazingly kind and helpful and the store is beautiful. While it’s true, you might pay a dollar or so more on some items, it’s all so worth it. We got syrup, bacon and smoked gouda pretzels all made within 50 miles of where I live and it feels really good to support my own community. But besides that the quality is amazing. The bacon was from Benjamin Beef and I will never feed my family any other type of bacon. It was so delicious and we got two meals out of the pack. It’s really nice to have this market as an option in, what is otherwise, a food desert area. Thank you to the staff and all the local farmers, ranchers and artisans! We will...
Read moreI've been waiting for a store like this in Williamston to open for a long time! Choice Market is not the first all Michigan made store I've been to. However, Choice Market is the first all Michigan store I've been to where I can find local goods like honey, sauces, fresh dairy, donuts, and local meat! I picked up a beautiful pork bone-in roast that turned out amazing. My wife and I can tell the difference between mass-produced farm animals compared to low volume, happy farm animals, and you will too. The people who own and operate the store are super awesome, and they genuinely want to help. The location is minutes off I-96 and will be worth the pit stop on your way home to pick any last-minute items...
