This year the corn maze is "Peter rabbit" and boy was it a challenge!..love that they make it a game with questions. As you work through the maze(which is huge) you come to different stations that have questions to be answered(found on your "ticket") if you answer all the questions and bring your ticket to the store area you get a free ice cream cone! My kids had a blast. You can pick apples and pumpkins if you choose to pay for that. Carts are provided to bring with you so you're not carrying apples and pumpkins all through the place(cause it's massive). They also have a petting zoo where you can pay .25 cents for a handful of food to feed the animals(do keys, goats, sheep, chickens, and they have bunnies inside the barn. My children had a blast. We ordered a pizza, got some drinks, and sat at the picnic table near the playground and finished out day off there. The prices were not bad at all given everything we were able to do. There was a big crowd of people there but the place is absolutley massive so it wasn't like shoulder to shoulder people or anything. Just a popular place. I didn't see one upset face in the hundreds (if not dang close to a thousand+)of people I saw today. I totally recommend this place to anyone, on a nice warm day that's looking to have some good old fashioned down to earth family fun that wont drain your bank account! The food was incredible. The apple cider was delicious and the "general store/gift shop" was adorable with ALOT of different things you could purchase. Naturally one of my boys picked a bottle of maple syrup....but man was it finger licking good. Wish I had gotten better pictures of the animals, the maze, and the store area but I was there with the family(plus my 4 babies)!!! It was a great time yall. I was so impressed with this place. Just can't say it enough. THANK YOU TREWORGY FAMILY ORCHARDS FOR GIVING MY CHILDREN AND MY FAMILY A PLACE TO HAVE A GREAT DAY....
Read moreBy far the best corn maze in the state of Maine, if not all of New England. I love corn mazes and have dragged my family to quite a few in Maine and in New Hampshire. By mid October most of them become scraggly, run down, and so full of broken corn stalks and unofficial "short cuts" that it's hard to tell where the actual path is and even harder to keep the kids on said path. However, even though it was 5 days before Halloween, the corn maze at Trewergy was in near perfect condition! The corn stalks themselves were densely planted, very tall, and still in really great shape given the time of year. The employees keep the paths well maintained and strongly discourage self-made "short cuts". We had NO trouble whatsoever determining where the actual, official paths were, and it was a lot of fun finding the stations and answering the questions.
Yes, it's a little bit pricey, but we felt that it was more than worth it. It's obvious that the money goes right back into growing and maintaining the mazes and the farm in general. Plus, the ice cream reward at the end goes a long way towards persuading reluctant kiddos to fully participate in the maze experience. (By the way, the vanilla soft serve is delicious!)
We also picked way more apples than we can really use but they were just so delicious! The trees were obviously healthy and everything looked like it was well taken care of. All of the employees we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome.
Overall, I cannot recommend this place highly enough for a family...
Read moreAwesome place! Our family loves going here. We started with picking apples, we only got two bags for our family of eight because you can easily get carried away and pick way more apples than you'll ever need. Next we headed to the corn maze which is always a blast but a little expensive, $10 for adults 13 and up and $9 for kids 2-12. We let different members of our family and group lead each segment through the maze, it was a great way to get everyone involved. The mazed finished near the far end of the pumpkin patch, which made for a great segway into the next portion of our outing. Everyone picked their perfect pumpkin and we headed back to the beginning of the maze where we had left our kart that Treworgy provides for free. We loaded the kart with our apples and pumpkins and headed to the lower pavilion to pay for the apples $1.50ish a pound and pumpkins $.60ish a pound (please check their website to confirm pricing). While in line my wife picked out some decorative gourds and I got a dozen apples cider donuts to share (there amazing). The lower pavilion is near the parking lot so we placed all our goods in the van and headed back to the main area. This area has a gift shop, food vendor with pizza, donuts, ice cream, and cider. There is a petting zoo where the kids fed goats and played and we enjoyed free ice cream cones which you receive for completing the maze. This was a great day filled with memories that will...
