Lewis and Clark State Park is just about 20 minutes South of Saint Joseph MO. This is a really nice park with some good historical information to read if you take the time. The historical information available on the Louis and Clark journey was well placed. Playground acceptable but not huge. No beach; it has been allowed to grow over and is now a grassy home to geese, so they should update the website accordingly.
Basically a small park with pleasant views, nice for a picnic, not a ton to do. Camping available, looks crowded from a quick look...
