The Seclusion — Attraction in Lexington

My Daughter was married at the seclusion about 2 weeks ago. I cannot count how many phone calls I have received from our guests who were absolutely floored by the beauty of this venue! We booked this spot when it was being built. To say that we were impressed with the final result is such an understatement. The area is just beautiful and the design and presentation of the venue takes it to another level altogether. The drive up the mountain is just the first gorgeous surprise. The owners have built and decorated incredible accommodations for the groomsmen. Not a single detail has been overlooked. Everything the groomsmen would need to prepare for the day is at their fingertips. The furnishings alone; leather sofas, genuine cowhide rugs, are simply gorgeous. As beautiful as the groomsmen's cottage is, it pales in comparison to the bridal loft. Picture an elegant off-white beautifully furnished area where no detail has been spared. There is a spa like shower, built in beauty bar for hair and makeup professionals, elegant furnishings and a breathtaking overlook into the reception venue below. We sipped mimosas and listened to beautiful music on the Bose stereo system. The loft has ample windows with a breathtaking view of the mountains. It is stunning! The guests had the time of their lives! The inside is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, long elegant tables, leather sofas for conversation areas tucked into alcoves and a fireplace that is just stunning. The decor extends outside and has gorgeous furniture across an expansive porch with views of the mountains. There are stone fire pits and outside seating where our guests relaxed, roasted marshmallows, smoked cigars, etc. This is place is one that has to be seen to be appreciated. I can only say that no detail was overlooked in designing the space. I met the owners on multiple occasions and they were both kind and incredibly helpful in working with us to bring everything together. After working with them, it was clear they were very talented and skilled in making this venue a reality. Their laid back manner made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process. My guests were so impressed by the venue that I actually introduced the owners at the reception. This is a 5 star venue! We looked at over 30 venues and none can begin to compare to this one. The Seclusion may have just become one of my TOP FAVORITE wedding venues! =) As a wedding videographer, I travel all over and have visited hundreds of venues in many different states. The Seclusion first of all, is well named. It is located 15 miles outside of Lexington, VA in the middle of nowhere. Not only is it peaceful, but it is surrounded by GORGEOUS mountains on all sides giving you a spectacular view in any direction. The upstairs Bridal Suite is quite spacious for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in and includes a small balcony that overlooks the interior of the venue. There is separate location on the property for the guys to get ready in, making this a "one-stop shop" for all of your wedding day needs. It is super nice to have your preparations, ceremony, and reception take place at one location. This option alone will take SO much stress out of your wedding day. The venue itself has a unique design and beautiful architecture. I could not stop filming various angles as well as taking different pictures on my phone! When I filmed here, the weather was absolutely perfect, the leaves were changing colors, and everyone enjoyed the outdoor ceremony facing the mountains. The interior of the venue was clean and well decorated. There was plenty of room to seat a larger crowd for dinner while still giving you a generous portion of the room for a dance floor. Our wedding at this venue was an absolute dream! The breathtaking mountain landscape views made for the most spectacular backdrop, and both the interior and exterior were decorated with such elegance and timeless beauty, yet with just the right amount of moodiness. The ceremony space, overlooking the rolling mountains, was nothing short of magical. At the time of our wedding, the ceremony space had the most beautiful white hydrangeas blooming. The groom's suite was perfect for the guys to relax and enjoy themselves, while the bridal suite had plenty of space for my entire bridal party and offered the perfect setting for stunning bridal portraits. The grand hall for our reception was simply gorgeous, filled with significant accents that added a touch of sophistication to the entire night.

Additionally, the entire venue staff at the venue is so kind and helpful. Though they mainly stay behind the scenes, they make it seem as though everything just magically gets done.

The real heart of this venue, though, is Brian and Trish, the sweetest owners you could ask for. They’ve built this wonderful space and truly care about sharing it with others.
