Spectacular vistas and so much beauty that I was so thankful that I was not the driver! My head was swiveling side to side in an effort not to miss a thing! Lake Pend O'Reille changed from swamp to deep water then back again in non-stop breath-taking beauty. The mountains viewed across the lake from the road reminded me of the islands that we could see from Maui... Huge, straight up heights covered in bold green! With skies that would not end! What an awesome day, ending with our crossing Kootenai River Bridge to visit the owner of Kootenai River Outfitters and pick fruit from the abundance of his personal orchard. Will not ever...

My wife grew up in Coeurd'alene, in Kootenai county ! she is always ready to describe the breathtaking beauty of the area she was her entire childhood until age 15. She tells me how lucky she feels to have grown up there, all thanks to her awesome mom! She praises her bravery for intentionally raising two children in a place with such grace, natural surroundings.
