Went here for the Sunday brunch buffet because it was recommended by a friend. It's a quaint little place right on a little lake. The atmosphere is great, it is nicely decorated and very cozy. Unfortunately, the food and service just don't meet expectations. For $30 a person there really wasn't much of a variety. The options were dry scrambled eggs, undercooked bacon and sausage, overcooked potatoes (with peppers?), pancakes (which were actually incredible), chicken parm, and penne vodka. They did have some mini muffins and plain bagels as well. Now, it is buffet style so you can eat as much as you want, but I've been to many a buffet that offered much more for similar pricing. I'd suggest having a few more options available. Maybe a variety of bagels, or some additional pastries? The service, though, was the most disappointing thing. It was our first time coming there, and the waiter just showed us to the table and walked away. Didn't give us silverware or even tell us where the food was. Didn't tell us that drinks were available by the food. We sat there for a few minutes before we realized no one was coming back to the table. He did not come back to check on us while we ate. Then when we finished eating, we sat there for quite a while before we decided to just get up and walk out to the bar because we didn't know how to pay. The waiter seemed somewhat inconvenienced by us asking for our check. Then, he and another server began speaking poorly about another table. That's so inappropriate in front of other customers! I felt bad leaving a low tip, but honestly he didn't serve us or anything and half the time no one was at the buffet table to serve us either (or they were on their phone while doing it). Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning. That's $60 I...
Read moreI was excited to come to this venue for the first time to celebrate Motherâs Day and it turned out to be a disappointment. At first we were sat at a table on the edge of the bar area with people hovering over us and when I was getting up to get food someone waiting was right there to take my chair. When I asked if we could move to a perfectly open table for 3 I was told it was reserved. Well we too had a reservation! After asking again and that we had a reservation we were moved. After we moved we were basically on our own. Not once did a waitress come to see if we wanted a drink, my husband went to the bar for our drinks and he even went to the bar to pay since no waitress had come by. It wasnât until we got up to leave that we were finally noticed and asked if we would like to pay. Funny how you become visible when they want you to pay the bill. It wasnât even worth what we paid!! Iâm leaving this review not necessarily to complain but in the hopes this venue does better in the future for...
Read moreWent for our anniversary dinner last night. My first time here but was not impressed. We had a 6:00 reservation and was surprised that a worker was vacuuming around us during our dinner!! I could maybe understand if we were there near there closing time but we werenât. It really put a damper on what was supposed to be a romantic dinner for us. The menu options were severely lacking. No pasta available with chicken franchese? Usually that is served with pasta! The coconut shrimp came with a weird salsa that didnât go with it at all. No vegetables offered as a side and no bread either. Itâs a shame because the view and building is beautiful and has so much potential but obviously it needs better management. I...
