IDNR could do a lot better with this place. There are some nice things about it. They have a campground with nice showers and a beach but it is surrounded by Canada geese (an invasive species Introduced here by DNR). There are no trails here. There is a dock to fish on that is wheel chair accessible, an archery range and a gun range. They have an awesome boat ramp but the courtesy docs are too short for houseboats. The marina is privately owned and doesn't offer much. Pontoon and jon boat rentals, worms, minnows, gas, candy bars and pop. They could do so much more as well. Lots of gravel instead of concrete. Doesn't seem to ramp up in quality from year to year like a good business would do. They need to go to Lake Cumberland to see a real marina with super long courtesy docks, a well stocked marine store with a...

I wish I could give it more stars I really do,but I remember what it was like 30+ years ago.Everything is the same but the beach and that's why there are only two stars. My friends and I would come down to beach play on the diving boards. Then play some beach volleyball which always had thick clean sand on it and so did the beach. When you got hungry they hand plenty of food to choose from. And being broke teenagers there giant tenderloins came in handy cause it would feed three of use.I just wish we could put some of are tax money back into the beach. It was always so busy and fun made many of friends hanging out at the beaches back in the day.Maybe one day people will be able to enjoy the beaches the way they were meant...

The only aspect of this park I can comment on is the shooting range. It is hands down the best range I've been to. I usually go to indoor ranges near cities, so this is the only outdoor range I've experienced. But, the prices seem unbeatable. Used to be able to shoot for free so long as you had an annual pass to all Indiana State Parks, though now I think it's 2 dollars, which is hardly anything. The range feels safe and the hired range operators are very knowledgeable and keep things very safe. I once had a person barrel sweep me and the range master went off on her and threatened to ban her and her partner from ever returning if it happened again. It's well operated...

We love Quakertown Marina! Jim, and Angie are great! The staff is always very helpful, and the rental prices for the pontoon boats is very reasonable! We had a great day on the lake, and will be back hopefully before the season is over! I recommend bringing a cooler full of drinks, and food for your time on the lake, since the only place I know of to eat is pretty pricey. If your looking for a fun day with the family, and you love being on the water you’ll love it!

Absolutely stunning and beautiful body of water, you can rent Pontoon boats for only $120 plus applicable taxes for up to 4 hours!! Can't beat that! Friendly staff at the gate and at the marina, wish I could go back for a week with my boat and see all that there is to see . It's such a large body of water. Fishing I'm told is great there. Friendly people at the bait and tackle shop just up the road.
