Still a year later and have another off leash dog with no recall issue. The man in this picture had three small dogs running off leash around the playground area. When his dogs ran up to my reactive dog ON HER LEASH I picked her up to avoid a fight, he called to them and they completely ignored him. I told him he needs to have his dogs on a leash if they arenāt able to be recalled and all he said was he likes to have them off leash. I told him itās not what he likes itās what the law is, and he just simply did not care. I had to actually get in my car in order to get away from them and he still had to chase the one he is carrying in the picture in order to catch him. He was reported to animal control the same day. Now I donāt want to return to this park in fear of running in to his pack of nuisance dogs.
If you canāt recall your dog when they are off leash then they donāt belong off one in public parks.
Original comment, 2024: Great until people bring their dogs off leash to the walking trail and paths. There are signs that clearly say keep dogs on their leashes but of course the entitlement is strong in these parts. I encounter an off leash dog almost every morning that I walk at the trail, and I walk nearly every day. There's a dog park at the end of the road.......

The playground is very kid friendly. My 1.5year old FLEW off the smallest slide; I wish it wasn't funny, but he popped back up like nothing happened. The paved trails were blocked off by cones, and there was no explanation as to why, but im not about to go somewhere with my baby that seems pretty sketchy, just in case. Anyway, the smallest of the trails was available, and we took the stroller on it with ease :) There is a dog park nearby but not close to the playground, so we didn't go over there. There was an on-site restroom. However, we didn't check if they were open. Lastly, they have disc golf! I told my brother in law about the park, and he is also taking the kids to this park later. Safe to say we'll be back :) Oh! this park is literally in the middle of nowhere, so GPS seems...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAh, this time of year the plops left on the ground are everywhere. There must be some HUGE dogs that come here š. Snow's melting so there are puddles & mud. Guess these "perks" are unavoidable in public places that aren't attended. If I wasn't so well seasoned I would've bought a scooper and cleaned up. At least in summertime the mowing broadcasts the messes. Sure wish the keepers of this dog park would install a gravity waterer attached to a pole so that the water wouldn't be constantly spilled creating such a mess that freezes & makes it a walking hazard. (But it is still a great dog park - just...
