One of the best outdoor concert venues that I have ever been to. The various bands that I have seen perform at this venue and at other locations seem to play better at Legend Valley/Buckeye Lake. If you have the opportunity to see a concert here you will definitely be satisfied and have a great time and experience. Growing up not far from the venue, maybe an hour or so tops . I was able to see a ton of bands perform at the venue in the 1980s and 1990s. The parking areas can be a significant walk to the stage area and the walk generally goes pretty fast since their are a ton of miscellaneous vendors selling food, drinks, beer, t-shirts, clothing, glow sticks/ropes and whatever else you might need. They also have a couple of gas stations right next to the entrance to the stage area so if you forgot something at home or the car you can probably get more at the stations. As for getting there you have the interstate in sight of the venue as well as Ohio Route 13 but a general word of caution is to try and avoid the main roads after the concerts if you are drinking or doing drugs etc since the cops are in force around the area and its best to have a sober driver. As for some of the bands that I have seen at the venue are the Grateful Dead, Black Crows, Guns and Roses, Trafic (Steve Winwood), Violent Femmes, Steve Miller Band, 4non Blondes, Megadeath, Acoustic Hookah, Hookahville music festivals and many more acts that are escaping me now. As far as the weather goes they play rain or shine. One time when Traffic played there was a violent thunderstorm that was so bad everyone was soaking wet and the band had to leave the stage for a little while and then came back out to finish out the set. Unfortunately the parking lots are grassy cow pastures so it became a little slick and muddy after the storm and the concert. If you think that the concert will be rescheduled for another time because of rain it will not be. The location is serious about Rain or Shine. But being that the stage is set in a natural Valley and the summer heat it can get pretty foggy around the stage area. That makes the light show even better with the natural fog and mist catching the light and glowing with whatever color lights are being used. As far as restroom and facilities at the venue go its porta potties lined up on each side of the venue but they do not have running water or electrical outlets. Just generators for the bands equipment in the early days but they did have some electric service at the site by the 1990s but that is only for the bands equipment and stagecrew to use for the concert. I have seen concerts all over the country over the years at venues like Shoreline in California, Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado, Alpine Valley, Deer Creek, Riverbend, and many more indoor venues and stadiums. But I have always been partial to outdoors amphitheaters with Legend Valley/Buckeye Lake and Red Rocks being my top two venues on the eastern and western parts of the country. These two venues are amazing and the bands put a ton of energy into their performance at these two venues and tend to play more fans favorite songs and in the 1990s they jammed harder and longer then at other venues in my opinion. You can not lose and are pretty much going to have an amazing concert at these venues. Unfortunately its been a very long time since I have managed to see a concert at any of these venues now that I am living in Florida and have not had the time to travel to these amazing venues and its also been along time since any bands that I like have played these locations and travel so far for a concert that could be seen within a few hours from home. Instead of traveling cross country for a show. Granted half the fun is getting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre looking for the closest thing to an Auschwitz experience I highly recommend this place. You will be given the opportunity to spend hundreds of dollars of your money, while employees will treat you lower than dirt, while citing itās a corporate policy. This would be fine, but the policies change by the hour, and depending on which employee you are speaking to at each moment. During the recent Punk in Drublic weekend long concert, they changed the policy on re-entry which was to be included with camping to no longer allowed on Sunday. This would be fine except they had 5 places serving food for well over 10,000 people and none of them could produce food in under 90 minutes. Enjoy starving peasants. The bathrooms were surprisingly adequately cleaned but that is the only nice thing I will say. The first morning while waiting to enter, they didnāt start unraveling lanyards and bracelets until after the 12 pm opening time. People that paid extra for VIP waited over 30 minutes to get into the venue over something that could have easily been prepared for. I watched a girl walk to security because she lost her car keys. They asked her if she checked both lost and found bins. She said she went to the one, and they called someone on a walkie talkie at the other one. The person who was obviously at the other one corrected the security guard and stated āno I told her she had to come here to check and I canāt say whatās in the lost and found over a walkie talkieā. Like why canāt you? If you paid for vip, in order to get to your section, they had the flat area blocked off. Instead you were forced to backtrack up a hill about 100 yards every time if you wanted to take advantage of any of the vip amenities. If you asked the lady to use the gate on flat ground, she would get a ridiculous attitude with you and scream that you have to go around. Again. The employees took pride in their ability to ruin what should have been an awesome experience. I went to Camp Anarchy here in 2019 and everything was awesome. This was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for Lost Lands, the line up and setup for the stages was awesome but it was the most unorganized festival I've been to. Parking was ridiculous, we got rerouted several times, no one knew where we were supposed to park. the directions the festival sent out on where to park wasn't true, cops wouldn't let us go that way. I paid extra for tent only forest camping but there were GA car campers and VENDORS camping in the same area. The parking advertised with that ticket said it was close but it was a 20 min walk through hills and different gated areas so hauling all our stuff was exhausting.Waited almost 30 mins to cross the street to get into the venue, they eventually got a cop out there to direct traffic but it really wasn't safe for a good bit. Security was arguing amongst themselves about what was aloud/wasn't and what to do about it. Security was a joke, I watched multiple people cut through gaps in gates right next to security and they didn't notice, non vip in vip areas, GA people walking through vendor areas. The people at the Info stations were unhelpful. I asked for a map they said they didn't have one and just kinda shrugged. Apon further questioning a lady, never looking up from her laptop, told me to just download the app, but the map never pulled up on my app all weekend. Loved the music but the chaos, unorganization and rip off for camping/parking ticket makes me not...
