Great local park to explore. There are different walking trails to hike. There is a large open field in the center of the park to picnic or run around. The park offers a natural shade playground. The playground is pretty neat in the it is made to blend in with the nature and made of tree branches. There is a large picnic pavillion and restrooms. If you like to play disc golf, there is a course through the forest. Make sure to check it out.

This is my favorite place in the area. There's so many trails to walk, a disc golf course, a super cool and well-maintained wooden playground set in the trees, and you should definitely take the short walk to the pond overlook to see the frogs and fish. Do watch out for cottonmouth snakes though, down near the water. I've seen them by the shore more than a couple of times.

I came across a copperhead snake on one of the trails. This was kind of closer to the water; where it's more muddy and vegetated. It's also where the trail narrows. He was just minding his own business, but definitely be careful if you have kids or dogs. On the plus side, it was cool seeing one up close in the wild. Very effective camo pattern!...he blended right in.

If you are going to this park to play disc golf, don't. My friends and I went today and had an AWFUL experience. The directions to the beginning of the course are terrible and we spent the first 20 minutes finding it. All but TWO of the tee boxes were made from wood and sand. The trees are entirely too dense and you spend all your time trying to get back onto the fairway. You could also tell that the grounds for the course were not kept up very well as they should be. My friends and I did not enjoy this course and were all in agreement that this was the WORST course we had...

We love that it’s so far off the beaten path and away from noisy traffic. The playground is awesome when there’s only 5-10 kids there but it can be a little small when it’s overloaded with kids and parents. The trails are relaxing and a few of them can be a little challenging for us since we’re hauling 3 kids and 2 dogs but we’re up to it. 8x/10 the drinking water is turned off so that’s pretty annoying for those of us who want to refill our bottles. Bathrooms are almost always clean. My only issues is getting through to reserve a pavilion for our...

We love this park! There is plenty of shade which is nice in the South during the summer! They have swings and a very large play structure with slides and plenty of climbing. There is also a ramp. There are walking trails and I am able to take the stroller on them with no trouble even though they are not paved. The restrooms are always clean and unlocked when we have been there. The only downside is that you have to drive down a dirt/gravel road to get there which could be problematic if you are concerned with your car getting...
