A solid long hike close to the Salamonie Reservoir with landscapes including forests, lakes, and farmland. If your looking for a longer hike, this is a solid choice in the area. It is well maintained and has plenty of benches to rest at. Also lots of options to head back. If you do the full loop, your looking at around 12 miles

Update: We went back to the trail for another try. The trail was cut back and the views were awesome. See pictures. In an earlier trip, unfortunately the trail had not been maintained. The grassy sections were waist deep. But things are in much better shape and we had a lovely hike!

Decent trail, have stayed at campsite 6 a few times now. Awesome property with awesome backpacking sites. Only place I know of in northern indiana that you can camp on trail, much closer for northerners than traveling to the deam wilderness or the AHT further south.

Decent trail, have stayed at campsite 6 a few times now. Awesome property with awesome backpacking sites. Only place I know of in northern indiana that you can camp on trail, much closer for northerners than traveling to the deam wilderness or the AHT further south.
