We stopped here on or way to Colorado on a Friday afternoon. I guess we were lucky to get a spot. There were 3 spots left and we grabbed one. Be advised this place from what I understand, is filled all the time in the summer months. If you want a spot, get there early. We were lucky to get a space being that there are no reservations. First come-first serve. The place is large to walk your dogs and there is a pretty lake. Noise level was low, too. No dump station, but there is a free one in town. Just google dump station, Ulysses, KS. It'll take you right to it. Also, if you are traveling West, get gas in Ulysses. We did fill up and were surprised there were no gas stations for the next 100 miles or so going...
   Read moreThe pavilions can be reserved and 2 weeks advance notice is requested so they can clean up the area and they post notices that lets people know you have the area reserved. They do charge a fee but if the area is clean they refund most of the fee. We have had our company picnic here, family gatherings, class reunions and church get togethers here. With only 9 camp spots, cars constantly circled and sped through the camp loop like it was a racetrack. Complete disrespect for the campers.
