Our Wine Club put on an educational "blending" event for 60 of our members and guests at beautiful Rancho Roble Vineyards. We are a group of wine enthusiasts who created this event for the purpose of understanding the nuances of blending wine.

From the start, Kari assured the planning team that this would be an outstanding event, and she and her crew worked very hard to make this so. Rancho Roble provided a super afternoon starting in the vineyard where we could taste Barbera grapes ready to harvest, grasp the significance of color, and of course test the brix!

We then moved to the patio for our education on the art of blending wine. Kari outdid herself by providing our members and guests with a complete tutorial on the importance and intricacies of blending. We were provided with a beaker of "starter wine" after Kari explained the origination of this wine and its potential as a blend. Five blending wines were provided along with a description of what each blending wine could impart to change or improve the starter wine.

This became a competition for 10 teams to create "the winning blend"! It was a super afternoon, gathering together for knowledge, fun, and camaraderie.

This could not have been such a seamless success without the ideas and organizational skills provided by Nichole, the Rancho Roble Event Planner. She thought of everything from food, layout, timing, etc. Nichole is a joy to work with because she's just got it together! We really didn't have to worry about a thing - it was just handled!

If you are looking to create an outstanding event for a large group or team, we absolutely recommend learning to blend wine at Rancho Roble Vineyard! It simply could not have been...

Rancho Roble Vineyards had been suggested to us as one of the best wineries in the Loomis/Lincoln area. Although we arrived about a half hour before closing, you would never guess it because we were greeted kindly and no one made us feel rushed to leave like some wineries do. From the time I called to ask whether they could accommodate our tasting, to approaching Rock on our entrance to the tasting bar, we knew we had made the right decision to visit. Rancho Roble Vineyards resonates with a genuine feeling of belonging and a place where good times are had by all. We ended up splitting a flight and tasted four unique wines -- Chardonnay, Rose, Barbera and a great red blend of Mourvedre, Syrah and Petite Syrah. I feel like we have tasted our share of wine over the years and know the difference between bad and good wine. We both can honestly say Rancho Roble's wines are excellent! And their lovely grounds are sprinkled with lots of grass for families, dogs, and kids with umbrellaed tables for picnics and gatherings. Adding to the atmosphere were angel statues and flowers, and of course a gorgeous pond in the distance. At the end of our tasting, we were lucky to meet one of the owners, Kari, who finished our visit with fun and engaging conversation, as did Rock. It is a given that we will return again in the near future. Whether you are locals or from out of town, you should take our lead and head out to Rancho Roble Vineyards for some truly awesome wine and a memorable wine...

Just not really happy as a member anymore. Beautiful setting for tasting but the pour is so small that you barely get a taste. Almost every time I’m there the owner says something to staff about the pour in front of me, the customer. It’s crazy. It’s not even a few drops more than an ounce and she checks it out. Almost NEVER is a bottle of bubbles available for tastes. Today they wouldn’t even open the stainless Chardonnay. The reserve was open. I don’t get that. Especially for someone who really only likes whites. I’m a member and it just feels so cheap. Ended up buying a bottle of bubbly instead. They price bubbles pretty high for what it is. After all, it’s not Rambauer (which I’m...

What a gem of a winery. The property is gorgeous and the wines are delicious. They offer reds, whites and sparkling - something for everyone. My favorites are their Chardonnay and Sparkling Wine (Celebration). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Kari goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Rancho is a great choice for an afternoon of wine tasting. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I had an incredible time at Rancho Roble this summer! I was visiting town for work and had a little bit of time to kill so I decided to stop by for a quick tasting. Carrie and Julie made me feel right at home and were super friendly. They made the experience so fun and relaxing. I really enjoyed the pinot noir and took a bottle home. 10/10 recommend!
