Very nice park and beautiful I’ve been coming to this park since I was child and they have recently upgraded some of the areas you now have a swimming dock near the river that’s sandy and nice and most people from lincolnton no of the back trails but a lot of new visitors don’t but if you park in the parking lot and walk to the back of the parking lot there is what looks like a drive way thru the grass on the left follow it all the way past the fenced in electric box’s at the back of the field and just behind it is another landing for views of the waterway and to the right is the trail entrance which they have added a disk golf course to but the trail has different side trails that lead to different views of the water way but it all leads to the side park behind the baseball field near the covered sheds and...

It's sad because this park was great when I was a kid but the city of Lincolnton has neglected this park for years. Needles in the woods, near the water, homeless junkies sleeping in the woods. Maybe the police could be present here at night instead of standing inside Circle K drinking coffee. BGR park seems to care more about the pickle ball courts instead of actually cleaning up their park. Now there's been a shooting at the park. Move the homeless shelter out of lincolnton and get rid of the homeless camps and Lincolnton could possibly return to how it used...

My family and my brother' s family gathered here to celebrate the Fathers in our family. We had a good time even though the rain threatened our outing. The children got to meet their new cousins and we had a family return back from Hawaii. My niece was in the Navy. We had a great time overall and the weather held out for our gathering. Thank you for a nice covered sheltered area to gather. There was also a playground for small children and the kids made use of it. We grilled outside the...

clean pool. Staff is great! visit multiple times a summer, every summer for over 5 years. We also attend Easter egg hunt. The recreation center has many sports they organize. indoor and outdoor basketball courts. There is two playground areas and two baseball fields, as well as a frisbee golf.

Some unusual amenities for a city park, like a disk golf course and a fishing pier. But it's very much a city park regarding the location. It's not near a busy road but a less than stellar area. Lock your doors. If you didn't know it does have a small playground on the edge of the park.
