Vesuvius Vineyards — Attraction in Lincolnton

Kristy and Jay allowed my husband and I to have our dream wedding. We knew we wanted an outdoor venue, but every affordable (and sometimes, unaffordable) venue in the area is a barn. We really did not want a barn, and were ecstatic when we found Vesuvius Vineyards. When we toured the property, we were amazed by the beauty! You can have your ceremony pretty much any where on the property, and the reception area is a covered, open-air space lined with beautiful trees. The sun sets behind the trees, and the view is gorgeous during dinner time. The house was built in the 1700s so the inside has a lot of character and vintage backgrounds for photos. The most important part of the venue is the couple that own and run it: Jay and Kristy. Kristy offers her coordinating services free of charge! She was a life saver the day of my wedding. You have unlimited communication throughout the planning process, and can truly customize your day however you want! I had some strange ideas and requests and they were stoked to do whatever I wanted! They are so flexible and allow you to pretty much do whatever you want on the property. The wedding day was nothing less than perfect with Jay and Kristy on our sides. We had our wedding in May, a notoriously warm month, and our date was scheduled to be in the 50s and raining. I didn't even have to communicate with them- they immediately put the clear covers down on the windows and lit heaters/fires/fireplace. They even had clear umbrellas for us to use (Thank God because running through Walmart was the last thing I wanted to do). Their rain plan is an open-air chapel and my family thought it was more gorgeous than my original ceremony spot outside. I DIYed a lot of my decorations, and gave them to Kristy all in random boxes, and she set it up beautifully and exactly how I wanted without instructions. I seriously was 100% stress free the day of because they gave me my space while taking care of everything that needed to be taken care of. When there were hiccups, I would look at Kristy and she would say "girl, already took care of it, you're good." Seriously, a Godsend. My family absolutely loved them, too. The only thing I would say about the venue is that there aren't great hotels in a direct area, and Uber can be hard to get from the venue. That wasn't a problem for us though, so if we could, we would give Vesuvius...

Stop reading and just book this place!

We had our wedding here in 2025 and let me tell you this venue is more than worth it for just Jay and Kristy alone! These guys are the utmost professionals when it comes to hosting a wedding. We went with the full 10-hour package with décor and the day of planning service. All of it is worth double what they charge if we’re being honest. From the moment we got to the venue we were taken care of and did not have to think about a thing, Kristy absolutely killed it and they even accommodated a last-minute performance flawlessly! From the multiple ceremony locations to the myriad of photo opportunities you really can’t beat a venue with owners like this!

Venue: This place is gorgeous and what they have done with the place has turned this into the perfect venue. The house easily accommodates everyone getting ready, the lady’s side has everything you need and the groom’s side is well built out to hang out in on the big day. We went with the chapel for our ceremony, which was stunningly decorated by Kristy and Jay, but there are multiple locations on site which are equally great. The cocktail spaces worked out beautifully and their reception area is amazing, it feels like you are in the trees. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Décor: Definitely go with the décor package, Kristy does such a great job the space feels like a different area when she is done. All with the added benefit of not having to haul anything home with you! Our guest raved at how beautiful the venue was.

Day of planner: (i.e. Kristy!) 100/10. These guys rock. Trust me.

Overall: I would give this place a 10/10 for Kristy and Jay alone but we need to bump that even higher just due to the fact you are getting this beautiful venue as well. We had a lot of stress going into it and after the first 30 minutes of talking with these guys we were able to relax and enjoy our day. Gosh, where to start? I just got married on 11-9-24 I planned my wedding for 2 years! Jay and Kristy were there every step of the way! Before coming to Vesuvius, we toured 9 venues…. Me and my now husband and I waited 6 years for this moment and wanted to be sure! Once stepping foot into Vesuvius, it had everything I dreamt of. It was elegant and dreamy. After touring 9 venues one thing that stood out to me was, that they had so many options to get married, outside, in a chapel, under a tree, by the river but the big one was a ran option with no extra charge. 2nd thing I loved about this venue was the décor package, yes it cost extra but it was well worth it and sooo much cheaper than a rental place would have been. Jay and Kristy were on it. Anything I wanted they made happen. If they thought it was a horrible idea, they let me know. HA! I toured a venue that treated me like a number. Jay & Kristy were personable, and kind, & KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. If anything went wrong on my wedding day I had no idea. My day was perfect. I believe a lot of people made it perfect but Kristy, Jay, the VV team and this beautiful venue had a lot to do with it. Thank you guys so much!
