It's a very peaceful, and educational place. -bunny hopping around free in the main building, live animals in some small aquariums, stuffed birds, some touch and feel pelts etc... Maybe spend 30 mins in the building. There are some farm items and animals outside in warmer weather, goats, sheep, maybe chickens... Paved walks and unpaved into the woods. Wooden deck for picnic. Lower deck outside in the back of the building facing the woods, with chairs to relax and nature watch. Lots of space and very low-key. Glad we still have places like this carved out for everyone to enjoy!!!

This area is beautiful country! Has small animals out in fenced area. A nice sized pond where tgere is plenty of places to do beautiful pictures. This is where we chose to do my daughters 2025, summer graduation pictures. I highly suggest this place. There is a restroom that is available around the East side of the building. The pond is also on the East side and down the stairs. There are walking paths along the fields of corn also.

Definitely recommend that if in the area to stop here to visit. Great place to take pictures and have a moment in history and education. Place is well taken care of. Parking lot is gravel, so come prepared. Signs are made of metal and a bit hard to read due to them being designed the way they were. Other signs are easy to read that have the description on them.

My daughter attended a field trip here with her class where they were learning about skulls. I walked over to one of the tables and said it looked like a rabbit, because I have 5 at home. The instructor, Aly, who was teaching the class IMMEDIATELY rose up from the table, got in my face, and started screaming and shouting at me in front of EVERYONE about giving them the answer. Not only was she RUDE, she was loud and EXTREMELY unprofessional! I made a mistake. She continued to belittle me in front of the teacher and students making me look like a child, then proceeded to storm out of the classroom and slam the door! What if one of the students had given the answer, would she have conducted herself in such a way??

CONTROL YOUR STAFF!!!

I WILL NOT return if Aly is present after being treated in such a manner, especially in front of...
