Such a beautiful little farm and wonderful outings for littles! I took my 2 and 4yo, but it would be a great outing for all ages and we saw all ages of kids and adults while we were there. I loved that everything was fairly compact and manageable. One note is that the only bathrooms are by the parking lot, which is a hike from the kids play areas. There are big beautiful shade trees in the middle of the open area that offer lots of shade for parents to sit and supervise kids, or for a picnic, even on a 92 degree day! And my girls really loved using kids scissors to cut their own lavender. All the kids play areas were so well maintained, it made it a really easy outing. The whole place is beautiful and very "instagrammable". Our group was told by one person that only those with a ticket could pick 20 lavender stems, and then another farm attendant said that even kids under 4 (who don't need a ticket) are still able to get 20 free stems. I'm not sure what the correct answer is. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars was the "snack stand". We tried the lavender-lemon cupcakes ($4.50 ea) and the lavender lemonade ($6.50 for a qt, $3 for a small cup). The cupcakes tasted like they were from a box mix and I couldn't taste any lavender in them. The lemonade was Country Time powder and I also couldn't taste any lavender in it. I wouldnt buy from the snack stand again, but we will definitely visit again and recommend...
Read moreThis was a nice, little gem. I love lavender, I mean LOVE IT. I wanted to go to this farm for years but always missed the season. I'm glad I finally made it and planned it because of the Juneteeth holiday so I could come on a Sunday and stay near. I was able to pick 20 lavender stems. They had lavender lemonade. It had a mild lavender flavor. The lemon lavender cupcake was scrumptious. I also got lemon lavender cookies. I made a satchel filled with lavender. I was told it should last for years. There's a store with all kinds of lavender scented products. They had little stuffed animals with lavender around the animal for relaxation. I got one for my 12 year old daughter. I got an eye mask. I was told grandma made them by hand. They can used warm from microwave or cold from the freezer. I would definitely recommend this place. Oh... before I left, a lady gave us lavender biscuits free. She said since it was getting slow, she loved giving away things at the end of the day. There are only 2 portable potties for toilet use. There are plenty of seats for relaxation. This place is pure...
Read moreFor my little ones was exciting to cut some stems, and walk around. It was great to taste cookies baked with lavender, and lemonade with lavender. We totally loved The Blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, lavender Jam, the lavender syrop, and teas we purchased there. Other than lavender items you can purchase some fresh cut yellow flowers, or pick your own herbs. The boys were happy to smell and taste some leaves of new herbs they had never tasted or see before, and it was for free! I was probably expecting to see a wider field of lavender bushes, with more purple, and blue flowers. I was hoping to take some family pics, with the lavender on the background, but it was quite hard. I took some individually, with each boy and their cute baskets, and kid friendly scissors provided by the owner so we could cut our 50 stems included in our Certifikid. Was it the low of the blooming season? Is it because as the owner explained us she lets Mother Nature take care of the bushes? I'll try to come back next season by June... For sure I'll purchase more of that...
