Gilted Edge Winery — Attraction in Lisbon Township

The property now requires everyone be 21 and over. While this is understandable, they previously allowed families to come in and spend a nice afternoon outside. The change was posted on a small corner of their website and not mentioned on their social media or anywhere else (where they are extremely active). It would have been nice to know before driving all the way out to the property and having to immediately leave. Poor business communication, and very disappointing.

EDIT: Since it won't let me reply to the owner reply. There is only mention on social media of 21+ on specific events and no posting that it is a general rule every Saturday and Sunday. Since most people use social media to get information for your business, it would be very helpful to put out a post letting people know that is your standing rule before they decide to drive out. My wife and I went on a little wine trail of our own this past weekend. I waiting til the end to give my reviews. The Gilted Edge was by far the best. Best atmosphere, best looking both in and outside, best tasting, and best staff. We are sweet wine drinkers so we cannot comme t on the dries. This was just their 6th weekend being open and if you are in the area, stop in for sure. I do not recall seeing any charcuterie offerings, but I am sure that will come as they grow.

The tasting room is setup in an old barn and the grounds are just fabulous. You can even sit in the old corn crib for your tasting.

My husband and I absolutely love Gilted Edge Winery – the wine is top-notch, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the owners are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet.
