Visited this wonderful place on a cold windy winter day, the entire area was covered with snow and appeard as if it was recently white washed, no body else was there around us except a colony of seagulls and a raft of ducks. It was a breathtaking view, nature at its absolute best - the magnificient view of Lake and thousands of surrounding trees. I almost felt like we were in some remote place of Alaska; it's like watching an episode of Life below Zero live :) . We spent about an hour but we couldn't stay out longer because of harsh and cold wind; we had to get into the car frequently to keep us warm. Read moreMy family and I have been coming to this lake for a few years now and we absolutely love it. My father rents primitive camping property on the lake the price is very reasonable when coupled with a annual boat pass. The lake is family friendly and even has live music in the summers at Rainmaker camp ground (which can be seen and heard from the water). The lake on weekends and special events (like the 4th of July) can become crowded, but jetskis are not allowed on the weekend which make it much safer for all. The catfish and crappie fishing on the lake is pretty good, but bass fishing is still developing. For our money and time, it's the best lake we can get on for a 30 minute drive...
