Visited this wonderful place on a cold windy winter day, the entire area was covered with snow and appeard as if it was recently white washed, no body else was there around us except a colony of seagulls and a raft of ducks. It was a breathtaking view, nature at its absolute best - the magnificient view of Lake and thousands of surrounding trees. I almost felt like we were in some remote place of Alaska; it's like watching an episode of Life below Zero live :) . We spent about an hour but we couldn't stay out longer because of harsh and cold wind; we had to get into the car frequently to keep us warm. We were lucky to witness a skein of geese migrating in V-Formation. I even get excited now just by recollecting...

My family and I have been coming to this lake for a few years now and we absolutely love it. My father rents primitive camping property on the lake the price is very reasonable when coupled with a annual boat pass. The lake is family friendly and even has live music in the summers at Rainmaker camp ground (which can be seen and heard from the water). The lake on weekends and special events (like the 4th of July) can become crowded, but jetskis are not allowed on the weekend which make it much safer for all. The catfish and crappie fishing on the lake is pretty good, but bass fishing is still developing. For our money and time, it's the best lake we can get on for a 30 minute drive...

I love Litchfield Lake. Excellent place to take the family. Its quiet & theres lots of outdoor activities you can enjoy.

👉BBQs, {there are grills in various parts of the park} 👉Picnicking ( groups or just your family) 👉A playground is near the Lake (plenty of shade available) 👉Swimming (diving board ) 👉Walking 👉Hiking 👉Nature Lovers 👉Trails to ride horses are available 👉 Fishing 👉 Boating 👉Camping available for Rvs, tents and they have places to rent that are comfortable for a weekend stay. 📌Just a Suggestion, Call & Book Ahead of time for Summer Time. Summer is a...

Beautiful lake, a little shallow. It is not a huge lake and they will let you put just about anything on it that you are willing to launch. A few of the boat launches are in need of some maintenance. They are willing to reap the benefits the lake brings to the community for maintenance and recreation, but seem to be slow to invest and maintain the resource. 2024 - they are continuing to add rip rap at locations of highest visible erosion and a silt basin to help mitigate the lake becoming more shallow and have begun more maintenance of boat docks and launches.

First time and very impressed. Large clean sandy beach. Attentive life guards. We their water feature appeared to be to crowded, staff called everyone off and issued numbered wrist bands to fix crowding issues. Large swimming area with really clean lake water. Only small issue were all customers have to access and exit beach through one double door. Which at time is a bit crowded. Will definitely return. Good job at Lake Lou Yaeger !
